A Edimburgo una mostra grazie agli archivi Condè Nast

La mostra  A Century Of Photography at Condé Nast apre i battenti il 15 di giugno e rimarrà aperta fino all’8 settembre, presso l’Edinburgh City Art Centre. Visitandola è possibile rivedere alcuni dgli scatti di moda più iconici degli ultimi 100 anni. Infatti, Condé Nast ha aperto i propri archivi per questa esibizione, che ospiterà 160 immagini.

La curatrice della mostra, Nathalie Herschdorfer, ha avuto libero accesso agli archivi di Condé Nast, a New York, Londra, Parigi e Milano, e ha operato una scelta delle immagini fra quelle di 80 fotografi top, offrendo un insight davvero spettacolare nell’ultimo secolo di immagini di  moda.

Volete sapere alcuni dei  nomi dei fotografi, vero? Qui si parla della crème de la crème, naturalmente. Ecco cosa ha detto la curatrice dele sue scelte: “Ero alla ricerca di scatti impattivi, che potessero rappresentare il lavoro della maturità creativa ed espressiva di questi fotografi. C’è lo stile di Helmut Newton, lo stile di David Bailey, lo stile di Peter Lindberg, lo stile di Miles Adridge. Questa mostra espone il meglio di questi stili.”

A Century Of Photography at Condè Nast opens on June 15, until September 8 2013, at Edinburgh City Art Centre.
Now you can revisit some of fashion’s most beautiful fashion shootings  from the past 100 years; in fact,  Condé Nast opened its archives for an exhibition, that features 160 images.

Exhibition curator Nathalie Herschdorfer was given access to the international Condé Nast archives, in New York, London, Paris and Milan, and she chose pictures by 80 leading photographers to include in the exhibition, offering an amazing insight into a century of fashion imagery.

Do you want to know the names of the photographers? The best of best, of course. This is what the curator said about her choices: “I was looking at strong, powerful works which announced the mature work of these photographers. There is a Helmut Newton style, a David Bailey style, a Peter Lindberg style, a Miles Aldridge style. The works in the show announce the best of these styles.”
