Per ora vi lascio le sue impressioni e le sue fotografie scattare a Tours (anche lui assume le fattezze del guest traveler ;) ), una cittadina poco distante da Parigi che mi è parsa deliziosa. Tours è una cittadina che merita assolutamente di essere visitata. Come vedrete dalle foto, i colori della primavera tra l'altro, iniziano a donare alla città delle tonalità stupende.
Tours is a town that really deserves a visit. As you can see in the pictures, the colors of spring are beginning to give the city beautiful shades.
In questo post cercherò di mostrarvela attraverso una breve presentazione e alcune fotografie.
Dato il nome, Tours, non è una città riguardo la quale è facile trovare notizie online. Scrivere "tours" su google porta decisamente fuori strada!

Quindi, se passate nella zona, vi consiglio fortemente di concedervi una tappa a Tours. Fermarsi a visitare il suo grazioso centro storico, le belle librerie di libri antichi, passeggiare lungo il fiume è piacevole e rilassante. Inoltre è una città ricca di storia e possiede un'eredità artistica notevole: una foto d'omaggio alla statua del grande umanista Rabellais - autore di Gargantua e Pantagruel - è d'obbligo!
So if you are in the next to it, I strongly suggest you to enjoy Tours. Have a break to visit his lovely old town, the beautiful bookshop of ancient books, have a walk along the river is pleasant and relaxing. In addiction, it is a city that is historically rich and that has remarkable artistic heritage: a photo of homage to the statue of the great humanist Rabellais - author of Gargantua and Pantagruel - is a must!
Raggiungere Tours in treno è facile (parlo dei treni da Parigi, con un'ora e mezza siete in città, se volete spendere un po' di meno, come ho fatto io, impiegherete circa un'ora circa in più). I prezzi dei treni sono comunque decisamente alti (alla meglio Parigi - Tours con un treno intercity costerà sui 60 €, includendo sia il viaggio di andata che il viaggio di ritorno) location: Tours, France
Tours is easy to reach by train (I'm telling you about trains from Paris, in an hour and a half you could be in town - but if you want to spend a little less, as I did, you've to take about an hour more). The prices of the trains are still really high (in the best hypothesis a Paris - Tours ticket by an intercity train, will cost about 60 €, including both getting there and going back ticket)
Una delle grandi attrattive della città è la Cathédrale Saint-Gatien de Tours. Maestosa, riesce ad includere in sé gli stili che partono dal protogotico allo stile rinascimentale, dato il lunghissimo periodo di tempo occupato per la sua costruzione (da inizio 1200 a metà 1500).
Bellissime le sterminate volte a crociera e le vetrate policrome.
One of the great attractions of the town is the Cathédrale Saint-Gatien de Tours. It's magnificent, and it manages to include in itself, styles from proto-gotico to Renaissance style, because of the long period of time occupied in its construction (from early 1200 to mid 1500). The endless cross vault and polychrome stained glass are beautiful.
Inoltre, all'interno, la cattedrale è ricca di arte: stupenda è la tomba rinascimentale dei giovanissimi figli di Carlo VIII e Anna di Bretagna, decorata da cherubini.
Inside, the cathedral is full of art is the beautiful Renaissance tomb of the young children of Charles VIII and Anne of Brittany, decorated with cherubs.
Accanto alla cattedrale sorge il chiostro de la Psalette e il Museo delle Belle Arti (che non ho visitato per via del costo del biglietto).
In generale, la cattedrale sorge nella zona più antica della città, dove è piacevole passeggiare, anche solo per la conservazione degli edifici classici dell'epoca.
Next to the cathedral is the cloister of the Psalette and the Museum of Fine Arts (which I have not visited because of the cost of the ticket).
In general, the cathedral stands in the oldest part of town where it is pleasant to walk, even just for the conservation of traditional buildings of that time.

Rue Nationalle è la via principale che parte dalla bella piazza della Marie (place Jean Jaurès, che vedete nell'ultima foto) e giunge fino al fiume, sulla quale troverete negozi di ogni tipo (ci sono anche le Gallerie Lafayette!).
Rue Nationalle is the main street that starts from the beautiful square of Marie (place Jean Jaures, you see in the last picture) and reaches the river, on which you will find all types of stores (there are also the Galleries Lafayette!).
Quasi alla fine di rue Nationalle sulla destra, verso la città vecchia e la cattedrale, si trova rue Colbert: una via carinissima caratterizzata da ottimi ristoranti di cucina tipica della zona affiancati da ristoranti etnici di vari tipi.
Insomma, a Tours mangiare bene non è difficile!
Near the end of rue Nationalle on the right, toward the old town and cathedral, is located rue Colbert, a cute way characterized by excellent restaurants serving traditional dishes of the area, next to various types of ethnic restaurants.
In short, in Tours is not difficult to eat well!
Alla stessa altezza di Rue Colbert, andando però a sinistra, vi è Rue de Commerce, che porta verso la zona universitaria. Qui, si trova invece tutta una serie di locali e piazzette con ottime brasserie.
At the same point, in Rue Colbert, however going to the left is Rue de Commerce, which leads to the university area. Here, there is instead a series of clubs and squares with excellent brasserie.
Tours è senza dubbio una cittadina molto tranquilla, dove i molti banchetti di libri e piccoli mercatini che di tanto si incontrano lungo la via, danno perfettamente il senso di questa serena tranquillità.
