All events scheduled for the Park this weekend have been canceled/postponed

Hurricane Irene

Dear Friend of Prospect Park:

Due to Hurricane Irene, all Park facilities will be CLOSED Saturday, August 27 and Sunday, August 28. All events scheduled for the Park this weekend have been canceled/postponed until a later date (including the Saturday "Brooklyn Loves Michael Jackson" event).

We urge people to stay out of all parks and off sidewalks, in the event of falling trees or branches. To report downed trees or branches, please call 311. In case of emergency, please call 911.  

Please take all necessary precautions to keep you and your families safe. Information about the storm and how to prepare for it are at www.nyc.gov or call 311.
