Art and fashion: fashion is art!!

Stamani è venerdì e come tutti i venerdì è la volta della mia carissima rubrica sull'arte e la moda, ossia
"ART AND FASHION: FASHION IS ART".
Per la rubrica di stamani, ho scelto di presentarvi i lavori di una Costume Designer che mi è piaciuta veramente tanto, sto parlando di JAQUELINE DURRAN.
Jaqueline Durran ha ricevuto la nomination ai Premi Oscar nel 2006 per i costumi realizzati per Orgoglio e Pregiudizio e nuovamente ai Premi Oscar nel 2008 per Espiazione. Nel 2013 ha vinto l'Oscar ai Migliori Costumi per il suo lavoro in Anna Karenina.
Inoltre ha vinto il Premio BAFTA per il Segreto di Vera Drake (2004) e Anna Karenina (2013).
Ha preso parte ad altri film in veste di costumista Tutto o Niente (2002), Il Solista (2009),La Talpa (2011) e The Double (2013).
Stamani però mi sono voluta soffermare sui meravigliosi abiti del film "Anna Karenina" con cui la Durran ha vinto il Premio Oscar per i Migliori Costumi nel 2013.
Per questo film, la costume designer ha realizzato 16 costumi, molti dei quali indossati dalla bellissima Keira Knightley nel ruolo di Anna.
In questo film, grande attenzione è riservata ai costumi che, come gli accessori, non sempre sono fedeli ai tempi che rappresentano. Un esempio può essere l'uso dei gioielli Chanel, dato che Coco ancora non era nata a quel tempo, utilizzati visto che la protagonista Keira è la testimonial del profumo Coco Mademoiselle di Chanel.
Possiamo ben osservare che nel film mostrata un'eleganza ispirata in particolar modo alla couture degli anni cinquanta più che alla Russia del diciannovesimo secolo.
Ha utilizzato, alcune volte, pezzi originali vintage, come la fascia originale degli anni'50 abbinata all'abito rosso indossato dalla protagonista ad un party.
Alcuni look sono formati da gonne più fedeli alla moda del tempo e abbiamo corsetti che sono il frutto dello studio della designer dei design degli anni'50 di Balenciaga e Dior.
Accuratamente studiato è l'uso della palette di colori, e molto bello è l'abito nero abbinato a dei preziosi gioielli Chanel.
Io adoro la Costume Designer Jaqueline Durran, e mi sono innamorata del lavoro che ha svolto nel film Anna Karenina".
