“Atlas”, il brano dei Coldplay per il film “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”

“Atlas” sarà uno dei brani inseriti nella colonna sonora ufficiale del film “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire“, un brano inedito firmato Coldplay. Ad annunciarlo, è stato proprio il gruppo di Chris Martin & Co attraverso i social network.

Ecco di seguito il comunicato ufficiale:

Good afternoon. It’s been announced today that a new Coldplay song, Atlas, will feature on the official soundtrack for the forthcoming film, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

Atlas is scheduled to be available via iTunes and all digital retailers on 26 August, 2013. The film is due for release on 22 November, 2013.

Earlier today, Chris tweeted the new song’s lyrics:

“Atlas” sarà disponibile in download digitale dal prossimo 26 agosto 2013 e anticipa di diversi mesi l’uscita del film, prevista per il 22 Novembre 2013 (come riportato nel comunicato).

Entusiasmo alle stelle per Francis Lawrence, regista del film, che ci ha tenuto a ricordare l’enorme rispetto e ammirazione avuta per la band inglese e di quanto Chris Martin e gli altri siano entrati perfettamente in sintonia con il tema e le idee del nuovo capitolo della saga “The Hunger Games”, tratta dai racconti di Suzanne Collins.

Lawrence ha affermato: “La loro passione incondizionata e l’eccitazione del progetto hanno elevato la collaborazione oltre i normali canoni e non vediamo l’ora anche noi che il brano sia condiviso con tutto il mondo“.

Resta solo da scoprire le sonorità che presenterà questo nuovo brano dei Coldplay: “Atlas” seguirà il percorso già sperimentato in Mylo Xyloto o si distaccherà completamente per aprire le porte ai suoni contenuti nel sesto album della band?

Chissà, per il momento resta un mistero o forse una certezza: come per “Christmas Lights“, “Atlas” potrebbe essere una semplice produzione indipendente, non legata a nessun album.

Non ci resta che attendere l’ormai vicino 26 agosto per ascoltare “Atlas” e proiettarci nelle atmosfere sci-fi di “The Hunger Games”.
