Come avete passato questi giorni di vacanza dal tempo incerto? Io ho lasciato volutamente il computer a casa e mi sono aggirata per la casa dei nonni con la mia borsa di stoffa gialla, e per le mani due regali iniziati nei momenti liberi a casa, che intendevo assolutamente finire.
What have you done in these days of ever-changing weather? I left on purpose my computer at home and went around my in-laws’ house with my big yellow fabric bag, holding two gifts I started to work to at my place, and that I really wanted to finish.
Lo scorso anno ho creato per mia figlia e per un paio di amiche delle borsette a forma di fragola – sono state anche nello shop per un po’, prima che decidessi di lasciare che almeno l’uncinetto rimanesse un hobby – e siccome la piccola Matilda l’ha veramente adorata e usata senza sosta, quest’anno ho pensato di regalarle qualcosa di abbinato.
Last summer I made for my little girl and two friends of her some strawberry-shaped crocheted bags – which have also been in the shop for some time, before I decided that I wanted to keep at least crochet as a real hobby – and since the little Matilda is so in love with it, I decided that this year she will get something matching with it.
Così ho ripreso in mano un pattern scovato su Pinterest e provato qualche mese fa, e ho realizzato una piccola bambola fragola da portare nella borsa.
So I went back to a pattern I found on Pinterest and tried a few months ago, and crocheted for her a little strawberry doll to put inside her bag.
La prima volta che ho creato una BB Doll si trattava veramente del mio primo amigurumi. Non ero abituata a contare mentre lavoravo all’uncinetto e soprattutto a tenere il conto con i piccoletti che mi interrompono in continuazione – è buffissimo vedere quanto sono venute diverse le teste! La seconda volta sono stata molto più precisa e veloce, e mi sono tanto divertita che sono già al lavoro su una terza bambola, e mio figlio si è già messo in coda per avere un piratino…
The first time I made a BB doll, I swear it was my very first amigurumi ever. I wasn’t used at all to count while crocheting, especially with the little ones interrupting me all the time – it is so funny to see how different the heads of my dolls look! The second time I’ve been way faster and more precise, and I had so much fun that I’m already working on my third doll, and my soon already asked for a mini-pirate…
La borsa che vedete abbinata alla bambolina di mia figlia (quella lilla) l’ho realizzata come i cestini da fasciatoio che ho pubblicato (parecchio) tempo fa qui sul blog e la flower bag. Sono davvero semplici, e anche la borsetta fragola è davvero alla portata di tutti!
The bag you can see in the pictures together with my daughter’s doll (the lillac one) is made with the same pattern of the nursery baskets and the flower bag. Believe me, making these bags is within everyone’s means.
E il secondo regalo? Bè, è una borsa per il fratello geloso, che compie gli anni proprio in questi giorni – sbaglia chi pensa che gli accessori e le bambole siano solo una cosa da donne! Realizzare l’applique in feltro è più semplice di quel che credete; potete trovare tutte le istruzioni in questo post di luglio. And the second gift? It’s a bag for the jealous brother of course, who celebrates his birthday in these days – it is so wrong to think that handmade accessories are only for girls! Making a felt applique on the bag is really easy, and you can find all the instructions in this post from last July.
