BLOG TOUR: Finally, Forever by Katie Kacvinsky

Sono onoratissima di partecipare a questo blog tour, sia perché sono innamorata di questa storia, sia perché essere scelta direttamente dall’autrice per partecipare è un’emozione unica. A certi eventi partecipo spinta da l’irresistibile appeal che hanno alcuni libri, a volte perché amo l’autore. È proprio questo il caso. Il 9 maggio infatti uscirà il nuovo libro della scrittrice americana KATIE KACVINSKY “Finally, Forever” che può essere letto o come uno stand alone o come il volume conclusivo della serie “First comes love”. Se volete un consiglio… leggetela tutta, vi farà innamorare perdutamente di Gray e dello stile della Kacvinsky davvero unico. Sono emozionatissima oggi di partecipare a questo tour, vi dico solo che tra qualche giorno vi regalerò la mia recensione, ma oggi, ci sarà una bellissima sorpresa per voi!

Il giocatore di baseball, Gray Thomas doveva andare molto oltre il fuori campo per trovare una ragazza come Dylan, l’ex amore della sua vita. più di un anno dopo, letteralmente ad un incrocio, si ritrovano in un viaggio che si rivela una pausa tra un passato doloroso e un futuro incerto. In questa appassionata e veloce storia estiva, Gray e Dylan scoprono che una destinazione non è sempre un luogo. Più spesso è una persona. Ora è tempo di decidere se insieme dureranno per sempre.

Il libro racconta di un viaggio on the road con la classica simpatia dei festi spontanei di Dylan che arrivano veloci e imprevedibili e la calma serafica di Gray, che pure non si nasconde dall’esplicitare le sue emozioni ed esigenze. Quindici mesi, di crescita e sbagli, quindici mesi che li riportano insieme. Sono sempre loro, Dylan con la sua macchina fotografica e Gray che la segue scuotendo la testa e ridendo sotto i baffi per le sue uscite strampalate. Alcuni equivoci, tante risate, tanta musica e tanta tenera irrequietezza, che metterà fine alla loro avventura. Una storia ricca, divertente e scritta meravigliosamente. Dylan e Gray vi porteranno in un mondo in cui l’amore non è un mito, dove la perfezione non esiste e dove ogni conquista è una scalata e ogni compromesso un mattone per costruire una storia più forte e vera. Una storia indimenticabile!

INTERVISTA A DYLAN & GRAY

Hi Gray & Dylan thank you so much to let me ask you some questions and pass in my blog. I’m very happy to have you! I love you both guys!

So let’s start…

- What do you think is changed from Second Chance in Finally, Forever?

Dylan: A lot can change in fifteen months, but it’s mostly things only change on the surface. Under the surface, it takes a lot longer for feelings to recede or for memories to dissolve. And sometimes, it turns out, the feelings never disappear at all.

Gray: I thought in fifteen months I could get over Dylan. But really, I had just perfected the art of denial.

- What is the first thing you would tell to someone who wants to know Dylan e Gray?

Gray: Expect only the unexpected.

Dylan: Ask him to tell you one of his theories. Wait for your mind to be blown.

- Gray, Dylan at one point explain her opinion about dating… what about yours?

Gray: I think dating is a complete disaster. But, I guess when you’re with the right person, it never really feels like a date anyway—just hanging out with someone who charges your batteries. I can understand what Dylan meant when she said that the trick to dating is to stop dating. In other words, you shouldn’t have to force anything. If it’s right, if you have chemistry, it’s going to feel natural.

- What is the place that do you remember more fondly?

Dylan: My favorite part of the road trip was definitely the World’s Largest Porch Swing. It needs to be in one of my photography books, as one of the Random Wonders of the World (it’s a photography series that I’m slowly working on). I see it as a coffee table book, set to be published Spring, 2015.

Gray: I don’t think I completely relaxed until we settled on a final destination. I don’t have the calling to be a full-time wanderer, like Dylan. I’m too introverted for that lifestyle.

-What is the thing that you have to bring with you during a road trip?

Dylan: Camera, journal and good walking shoes.

Gray: Good music. Hopefully a roadmap, or a navigator who understands how to use the internet.

- What is your favorite quote of the book?

Dylan: Experience is a valuable messenger of truth.

Gray: I used to hope that one day I would run into Dylan again, but Hope can be a dangerous demon disguised as an angel.

- In the book you talk about your favorite film ending… and you favorite book ending?

Gray: My favorite book ending? Ender’s Game. That’s my favorite book of all times, from beginning to end.

Dylan: Easy. The one in Finally, Forever.

- Dylan do you ever seen Gray play? What do you think?

Dylan: Yes, I’ve seen Gray play baseball. I’ve been to a few of his college games and I have to say, watching Gray throw ninety-mile an hour curve balls on the pitcher’s mound, in tight pants, is a wonderful way to pass the time. I’m a huge fan.

- Are you happy now?

Gray: I think relieved is a better word.

Dylan: I don’t know if happy is the right word. There really is no word to describe it. Happorific? That sounds about right.
