Corfu holidays: Paleokastritsa

Superate le coste del nord di Corfù, si passa a quelle nord-orientali, a mio parere le più belle di tutta l'isola.
E tra tutte sicuramente quelle di Paleokastritsa sono quelle che meritano di più! La bellezza di quei luoghi è indescrivibile! :D
Scogliere di fitti boschi verdissimi si tuffano direttamente nel mare più azzurro che si possa immaginare, formando di tanto in tanto calette di ciottoli bianchi, dove l'acqua assume bellissime sfumature color acquamarina, e diverse grotte, a cui si può accedere anche a nuoto, dal fondale meraviglioso: ci si trovano stelle marine, pesci di tutti i tipi e persino coralli rossi!
Inoltre proprio sul promontorio al di sopra delle calette si trova un vecchio monastero ortodosso, assolutamente da visitare: è tenuto benissimo, ha un'architettura molto particolare ed è pieno zeppo di fiori e piante di tutti i tipi (oltre che di gattini), e lì vicino c'è anche una piccola fattoria, sempre tenuta dai monaci!
Certo, per arrivarci bisogna fare una bella scarpinata tutta in salita nel bosco, ma ne vale decisamente la pena (anche se volendo ci si può arrivare anche in macchina): proprio accanto al monastero c'è un piccolo sentiero che porta proprio in punta al promontorio che domina tutta la costa, e lì lo spettacolo è semplicemente mozzafiato! :D

And surely among all those Paleokastritsa's are the ones that are worth more! The beauty of those places is indescribable! : D
Cliffs of dense green forests plunge directly into the sea more blue than you can imagine, forming occasionally white pebble coves, where the water is beautiful shades of aquamarine, and several caves, which can also be accessed by swimming, with a wonderful seabed: you can find there starfishes, fishes of all kinds and even red corals!
On the promontory above the bays there is an old Orthodox monastery, a must to visit: with its immaculately maintained unique architecture and its courtyard full of flowers and plants of all kinds (and kittens), and nearby there is also a small farm, always held by the monks!
Of course, to get there you have to make a trek uphill in the woods, but it is definitely worth it (even if you can it reach even by car): right next to the monastery there is a small path that leads right in pointing to the promontory overlooking the entire coast, and there the view is simply breathtaking! :D

Per entrare nel monastero si deve passare la prova-vestiti: a quanto pare il mio vestito era troppo corto e mi hanno dato questa gonnellona da metterci sopra! >:S   To enter the monastery you must pass a clothes-test: apparently my dress was too short and they gave me this big skirt to put over it! >:S

Mi ero fermata un secondo su quella panchina per rispondere al telefono e questo micino minuscolo mi è praticamente saltato in braccio! Era tenerissimo, ma poi mi si è addormentato sulle gambe e non sapevo proprio come fare per metterlo a terra: chi avrebbe avuto il cuore di svegliarlo? Per fortuna con qualche carezza si è risvegliato da solo! ^^
 I was stopped for just a second on the bench to answer the phone and this tiny kitten practically jumped in my arms! It was so tender, but then it fell asleep on my legs and I did not know how to put it on the ground: who would have the heart to wake it up? Fortunately, with some caress it awoke itself! ^^
