Discovering Basilicata ( Italy): Pisticci the all white village

Many places in Italy are far from the massive tourism, that’s why they are so genuine: here you can find some aspects of the real life in Italy and traditional habits still alive.I suggest you one tour  the Basilicata region.It is not so easy to arrive there. The nearest airport is Crotone ( Calabria) or Taranto ( Puglia), then you have to rent a car. Maybe this is why is so genuine this region. Craco vecchio

Then there are so many little villages, where you can see the life in the little towns of South Italy.  Let me begin by saying that you will be well impressed wherever you go. One interesting village could be Pisticci. It is an all white village. On the top of the village you can visit the old church SS.Pietro e Paolo (1542). On the side of this church you can find  Torre Bruni, even if today there is only a ruin. Near this village you can find one more village that was completely abandoned in the 60^th. Now it is a very magical place called Craco vecchio, it could be the right place for some movies. Do you want to make an unforgettable experience in Pisticci? Well you have to drink  the local bitter. Now it is known all over Italy as Amaro Lucano but it was created here in 1894 by  Pasquale Vena- herbalist and confectioner.You can eat have a good lunch and then try this liquor, then you can take a nap before living one more evening in this fantastic place! The secret? Don’t be in a hurry and take your time here.

Molti luoghi in Italia sono lontani dal turismo di massa , è per questo che sono così genuini : qui potete trovare alcuni aspetti della vita reale e le abitudini tradizionali ancora vive in Italia .Vi suggerisco una gita nella regione Basilicata .Non è facilmente raggiungibile. L'aeroporto più vicino è Crotone ( Calabria ) o Taranto ( Puglia ) , da lì dovete necessariamente noleggiare una macchina . Forse è per questo che è così genuina questa regione. Il  primo posto che  vi suggerisco  di visitare è sicuramente Matera . (Vedi il mio link). Poi ci sono tanti piccoli villaggi , dove si può vedere la vita nelle piccole città del Sud Italia . Vorrei cominciare dicendo che sarete favorevolmente impressionati ovunque decidiate di andare . Un paese interessante potrebbe essere Pisticci . Si tratta di un villaggio tutto bianco . Sulla sommità del paese si può visitare l'antica chiesa SS.Pietro e Paolo (1542) . Sul lato di questa chiesa si possono trovare i ruderi di  Torre Bruni . Vicino a questo villaggio vi è un altro paese che è stato completamente abbandonato negli anni Sessanta . Craco vecchio è ora un posto magico, location ideale per molti film . Vuoi fare un'esperienza indimenticabile a Pisticci ? Devi assolutamente bere  l'amaro locale. Ora è conosciuto in tutta Italia come Amaro Lucano , ma è stato creato qui nel 1894 da Pasquale Vena - erborista e di una pasticceria . Fatti un succulento pranzo  e poi prova questo liquore:  dopo ciò puoi  fare un pisolino prima di vivere ancora una serata in questo posto fantastico ! Il segreto ? Non avere fretta e assapora il tempo.
