Ferox By Anvil

Named after the cyclone that hit Western Europe last May, like any other bike built by Phonz and Marco of Anvil Motociclette, the Ferox "settemmezzo" has a story that explains its birth... "This CB750F was designed to celebrate our passion for two motorcycling disciplines. The first is the Super Bike: we have always been impressed by the old pics of Freddy Spencer performing his breathtaking bends. The second is Flat track: very popular in the States during the seventies, where Kenny Roberts became famous."
Prende il nome dal ciclone che ha investito l’Europa occidentale lo scorso maggio… “Come ogni nostra moto - ci dicono Phonz & Marco di Anvil Motociclette- anche la Ferox Settemmezzo ha una storia alle spalle per giustificare la sua venuta al mondo… Questa  CB750F è stata concepita dopo esserci fatti influenzare da due discipline che ci hanno sempre affascinato. La prima è la Super Bike: impressionati dalle storiche foto che ritraggono Spencer in pieghe mozzafiato. La seconda è il mondo del Flat track: disciplina seguita principalmente negli anni 70 negli Stati Uniti, palestra che ha reso famoso Kenny Roberts.”

In order to emphasize the racing footprint of this bike, at Anvil they used for the first time the white color, so far absent in their folder. The stock fuel tank was replaced by a smaller one, coming from a Fantic Motor. The tail was inspired by the flat track racers Harley Davidson: the classic tail in fiberglass covered with neoprene, however, was replaced by a more elegant and comfortable seat in quilted leather. The rear fender echoes the lines of the 1930’s Harley Davidson’s built for hill climbing races. The air box was replaced by four foam filters. The carburetors were overhauled and boosted by a Dyno Jet kit that, with the new exhausts, completely free, must have given at least ten more HP to the motorcycle. 
Per enfatizzare l’impronta racing del mezzo, Anvil ha voluto inserire per la prima volta il colore bianco, fino ad ora assente nella loro cartella colore. Il serbatoio di serie è stato sostituito da uno più piccolo e squadrato, proveniente da un Fantic. La coda è ispirata alle Harley da flat track: la classica coda in vetroresina ricoperta di neoprene è stata però sostituita da una più elegante e comoda sella in pelle trapuntata. Il parafango posteriore riprende la linea della Harley degli anni ‘30 preparate per le gare di Hill Climbing. La scatola filtro e stata sostituita da quattro filtri in spugna. I carburatori sono stati revisionati montando il Kit Dyno Jet che, col nuovo scarico completamente libero, dovrebbero aver regalato una decina di cavalli in più alla moto.
