Grayson Perry è in mostra al British Museum, dove non solo espone le proprie opere ma è anche l'esclusivo curatore dell'evento. La mostra esplora tematiche molto diverse tra loro, quali i viaggi sacri, le reliquie dei santi e lo sciamanesimo, la cultura contemporanea e le moto. Perry infatti ci guida in un curioso viaggio dimostrandoci la sua acuta intelligenza, costruendoci un percorso da pellegrini nel luogo di culto , che in queste sale non può che essere metafora perfetta, dato che siamo nel tempio-museo per eccellenza. Perry ci invita anche a ricordare che il suo interesse non è affatto scientifico e ci ricorda con insistenza che il suo intento è di costruire un memoriale per tutti quegli artisti-artigiani ( dilemma che sempre ha rappresanto Perry ,lui artista o artigiano che ha vinto il Turner Prize nel 2003? ) dimenticati negli anni di cui opere sono state accantonate nell'imponente magazzino del British Museum. Il topic di questa mostra è quindi la particolare e intensa ricerca materiale di Perry , che inizia due anni fa  quando il British Museum gli concede il permesso per frugare tra i suoi antri più oscuri e dimenticati. Il risultato è un deja vu delle ossessioni dell'artista, che si centrano sul potere magnetico del museo e soprattutto dei suoi oggetti-opere. Per questo potere olistico, il visitatore-pellegrino è coinvolto in un salto dimensionale, tra vecchie e nuove reliquie, accostamenti stridenti e coinvolgenti, che ci stimolano a costruire nuove relazioni semantiche tra gli oggetti-opere.
