La visita al giardino
di Mirella Collavini esaudisce un desiderio espresso da tempo, da quando avevo letto di lei su alcuni inserti speciali di AD dedicati al vivere in campagna.

Un giardino friulano che collima per forma e contenuto alla mia idea di spazio verde, intimo, perché per scoprirlo bisogna attraversare un incantevole giardino d’inverno o varcare l’uscio della bellissima casa d’epoca che lo custodisce, ambienti in cui si fondono storia, arte e cultura.

Elegante, perché sapientemente disegnato da un gioco di arbusti sempreverdi, in prevalenza bosso topiato a sfera presente in grande numero anche in singoli vasi di terracotta, e poi tasso e alloro.

Formale, perché ricalca un disegno geometrico con tanto di pareti e di stanze a cui si accede varcando una soglia sottolineata da vere porte in legno che demarcano il confine tra lo spazio interno e quello di verzura.

Bello in ogni stagione, proprio per la predominanza dei sempreverdi ai quali si alternano fioriture di rose, di ortensie e di viole che occhieggiano ovunque… Proprio le viole sono il fiore amato dalla padrona di casa che le coltiva, le colleziona e ai più fortunati le vende!

E’ questo il fiore che mi ha condotto a lei, un fiore che amo, per forma, colore, storia profumo e gusto, Mirella Collavini ne ha formato nel tempo una ricca collezione  che comprende le rinomate doppie di Udine e la Viola odorata ‘Conte Di Brazza‘ (venuta via con me), il tema è declinato anche nella raccolta di oggetti, cartoline e qualsiasi altra cosa le rappresenti e a marzo, nel primo fine settimana di primavera, la sua casa di apre per una festa a loro dedicata.

Mirella Collavini has formed over time a rich collection that includes the famous double of Udine and the scented Violet of Count of Brazza (which came away with me), the subject also declined in the collection of items, cards and anything else represent them, and in March, during the first weekend of spring, her home opens for a party for them.

Mirella riserva alla decorazione del giardino la stesa cura dedicata agli interni, la sua creatura verde vive con lei, dei suoi stati d’animo e della sua forza. Ha passato momenti di maggior gloria come da lei stessa raccontato e ha dovuto affrontare tante perdite e sconfitte, come la recente malattia dei bossi che ha modificato l’aspetto di alcuni volumi portando all’introduzione di nuovi tassi o quanto capitato al giardino degli aromi che ha ceduto alle difficoltà climatiche del luogo ed ora ha lasciato lo spazio ad un nuovo progetto appena avviato, un labirinto di allori, perché come racconta Mirella forse sta seguendo l’esempio di sua mamma che ancora a novant’anni piantava querce con la speranza di vederle crescere.

It lived moments of glory as told by herself and had to deal with many losses and defeats, such as the recent illness of boxwoods which changed the appearance of some volumes leading to the introduction of new yews, or with what happened in the garden of aromas that succumbed to the weather conditions of the place and now has made ​​room for a new project just started, a maze of laurels, because, as Mirella says, maybe she is following the example of her mother, who ninety year old was still planting oaks with the hope of seeing them grow.
