Si svolgerà sabato 16 luglio l'edizione 2016 del 'Supporters Summit', incontro annuale organizzato congiuntamente dalla Football Supporters Federation(FSF) e Supporters Direct UK(SD), in partnership con la Football Association(FA), per discutere sullo stato attuale e sul futuro del calcio inglese visto dagli occhi dei tifosi.
La giornata di incontro si terrà a Londra, ospitata nella sala conferenze dello stadio Wembley(come nell'edizione 2014, qui dettagli e Foto), partenza ore 10 am, si articolerà con presentazioni, esperienze e workshop dedicati a diversi temi, i cui dettagli saranno resi noti prossimamente, al centro dell'agenda delle attività dei collettivi nazionali dei supporters.
Nella giornata successiva di domenica 17 si svolgeranno le assemblee generali annuali(AGM) delle due organizzazioni nazionali di tifosi, protagoniste di attività condivise che coinvolgono costantemente migliaia di supporters e gruppi di fan dell'intera piramide del calcio inglese, la Football Supporters Federation(FSF) principalmente focalizzata i campagne per migliorare la vivibilità e accessibilità dei match(sicurezza, prezzi, trasferte, inclusione) e di tutto ciò che ruota attorno alla sfera del tifosi, e Supporters Direct UK, invece, come guida e coordinamento di quasi 200 tra associazioni di tifosi e Community Club nel Regno Unito nello sviluppo del coinvolgimento attivo dei supporters nella governance dei club.
