Installare Windows Phone 7 su HTC HD2 [Guida + Video]

Sembra veramente incredibile, ma, dopo Android, arriva anche il sistema operativo Windows Phone 7 pronto per essere installato su HTC HD2.

Questo smartphone di HTC sembra veramente immortale: negli ultimi mesi è stato possibile installare su di esso tantissimi sistemi operativi, e tutti quasi perfettamente funzionanti. Ancora non riesco a spiegarmi come sia possibile, ma una cosa è certa: HTC HD2 è uno dei migliori smartphone mai prodotti, non solo per quanto riguarda le performance, ma soprattutto per quel che riguarda la moddabilità e le possibilità di personalizzazione infinite offerte agli utenti.

Dopo una breve presentazione, andiamo ora a vedere insieme come installare il sistema operativo Windows Phone 7 sulla NAND del terminale.

Premessa: installando questo OS, perderete completamente quello precedente ed i files archiviati sul telefono. Ovviamente sarà possibile tornare all’OS precedente con il flash di una ROM.

Inoltre, procedete assumendovi tutti i rischi del caso.

Bisogna avere una delle ultime versioni radio es 2.14 o 2.15 che trovate qui.

Questi sono i passi principali da seguire per l’installazione:

• Mettete il terminale in boot loader (lo accendete premendo tasto accensione + volume giù)
• Installate l’ultima versione del MAGLDR (attualmente la 1.12 presente nel file che scaricate)
• Subito dopo accendete il terminale tenendo premuto il tasto power finchè non compare il menu
• Scegliete il punto 5 per fare il flash via usb
• Lanciate da pc il file DWI.exe contenuto nella cartella LEO70
• Ora avete Windows Phone 7 sul vostro HTC HD2

Windows Live functions including the Market don’t work.

To sync contacts/calendar/emails you need to manually set up your Hotmail account. Using MS Hotmail Connector it’s then possible to sync with Outlook.

Hard reset:

During boot, when "1234" appears on screen, press and hold VolUp + VolDown, until the message appears. Press VolDown twice to clear data.

SD Card:

The SD Card will only be available to the OS if it’s inside the device during its first boot. Removing the SD Card will destroy all user data and a hard reset is required! NOT all SD Cards are compatible with WP7. If your card isn’t compatible with WP7, it won’t be used for data storage or it may cause random reboots. There’s no list of compatible cards yet.

WARNING: WP7 will format the SD card during the first boot.

Two SD card partitions are created during cold boot. First one is a 200Mb FAT partition and another one with unknown format which is used as RAID with main memory.

Keyboard buttons mapping:

GREEN – camera key
HOME – launch search (Bing)
WIN – show home screen
BACK – backward
RED – power

LEO1024: At current moment LEO1024 supported, but only 512 megabytes of NAND is used.
