Jaquet Droz eclipse

Here I am back speaking about watches, and with a serious post in English. Today I'll show you a big shot, but for a niche: a Jaquet Droz. This maison opened in 1738, the second oldest after Blancpain (1735). After a period of inactivity, today is part of the Swatch group.
We also speak about the moon, with its mysterious charm that enchants us. The same sensation is given by the Eclipse, watch of teh maison.
Ritorno a parlare di orologi, con un pezzo da 90 ma di nicchia. Parliamo di Jaquet Droz. La casa aprì nel 1738, seconda, tra quelle ancora attive, solo a Blancpain, e di soli 3 anni. Dopo un periodo di inattività, oggi conosce nuova luce nello Swatch Group.
E proprio di luce parliamo. Di luce lunare. La luna ci ha sempre stregati con quel suo fascino misterioso, e questa è la stessa sensazione che ci trasmette l' Eclipse, orologio della maison.

Un orologio che è una prodezza, indicante giorni, mesi, anni, fasi di luna. Il quadrante è smaltato nero a mano, in linea con la maison, e molto semplice: la luna, che fa capolino da un disco nero annunciando come sarà la sera, le stelle (simbolo di Droz) che la accompagnano e le lancette, fini ed eleganti. La cassa è in oro rosa, il cinturino in cocco.
Il calibro è un meccanico di manifattura, con 28 rubini e 68 ore di riserva di carica (lo prende per buono, io non ci capisco niente!). L' unica cosa che proprio non mi piace è il prezzo: 22.400 euro!
O watch that is a feat, showing days, months, years and moon phases. The dial is hand enamel, as tradiotional in Jaquet Droz, and very simple: the moon peeps out from a black disc, annunciating how will it be like the night, the stars (symbol of Droz) keeping her company and the hands, thin and elegant. The case is in red gold and the watchband is black crocodile.
There's a manifacture movement: 28 jewels and 68 hours of power reserve (I don't understand anythink, but It should be good!). I only can't stand the price: 22.400 euros (27.900 $)!
