La Scottish Football Association presenta reclamo contro Mike Ashley e il Rangers FC

La Scottish Football Association(SFA) ha presentato reclamo ufficiale contro Mike Ashley e il Rangers FC per violazioni delle regole disciplinari, a cui sono soggetti i membri della lega scozzese, causate dall'influenza che il magnate, proprietario del colosso Sports Direct e tra gli azionisti di rilievo del Newcastle FC, esercita più o meno direttamente sul club.
Gli amministratori della lega hanno emesso delle notifiche di contestazione per la violazione delle regole disciplinari, Mike Ashley è accusato di aver violato i seguenti articoli:
''Disciplinary Rule 19'', che recita ''Nessuna persona, se non con il consenso preventivo scritto del consiglio di lega, può influire sulla gestione o amministrazione di un club, direttamente o indirettamente, e (a)essere membro di un altra società, o (b)essere coinvolto in qualsiasi veste nell'amministrazione di un altro club, o (c)avere potere di influenzare la gestione di un altro club
''Disciplinary Rule 77'', che recita ''Istituzioni sportive, club, amministratori, ufficiali sportivi, staff delle squadre, giocatori, arbitri, e tutte le altre categorie che operano sotto la giurisdizione della Scottish Football Association, devono operare per gli interessi del settore calcio''
Anche per il Rangers FC vengono contestati gli articoli 19 e 77, acui si aggiunge la violazione dell'art 1 del codice di disciplina che recita ''Tutti i membri della Scottish Football Association devono rispettare le regole del protocollo, e comportarsi in buonafede con gli altri membri della lega''
La lega con l'atto formale concretizza le preoccupazioni e proteste dei tifosi del club che recentemente avevano proprio denunciato la forte influenza di Ashley nella guida del club(qui dettagli), intraprendendo operazioni di boicottaggio del merchandise della società(qui dettagli).

Disciplinary Rule(s) allegedly breached:
Disciplinary Rule 1: All members shall:
(b) be subject to and comply with (i) the Articles (ii) this protocol.
(f) behave towards the Scottish FA and other members with the utmost good faith.
Disciplinary Rule 19: Except with the prior written consent of the Board: (a) no club or nominee of a club; and (b) no person, whether absolutely or as a trustee, either alone or in conjunction with one or more associates or solely through an associate or associates (even where such person has no formal interest), who: (i) is a member of a club; or (ii) is involved in any capacity whatsoever in the management or administration of a club, or (iii) has any power whatsoever to influence the management or administration or a club, may at the same time either directly or indirectly:- (a) be a member of another club; or (b) be involved in any capacity whatsoever in the management or administration of another club; or (c) have any power whatsoever to influence the management or administration of another club.
Disciplinary Rule 77: A recognised football body, club, official, Team Official, other member of Team Staff, player, match official or other person under the jurisdiction of the Scottish FA shall, at all times, act in the best interests of Association Football.
