Ladylike

E' ormai qualche anno che è tornata di moda, e, nonostante le più o meno rapide incursioni nel grunge o nello swag, sembra piuttosto decisa a rimanere: parlo della tendenza ladylike, quella che prende ispirazione (solo ispirazione) dallo stile raffinato e femminile delle donne soprattutto degli anni40 e 50.
Ma per indossare gonne a ruota, gonne a tubino e cappottini avvitati ci vuole l'atteggiamento giusto.
Per essere "una lady" bisogna dimostrare classe, buone maniere, e buona educazione 
Una signorina di classe non dovrebbe essere snob o presuntuosa, ma ogni azione dovrebbe avere dignità, considerazione per le circostanze, e grazia
 In questo caso leggere romanzi o guardare film d'epoca e può essere una grande ispirazione, tuttavia, tenete presente che oggi (perfortuna) le cose non sono più così rigide e formali come erano una volta! ;)

But to wear full skirts, pencil skirts and fitted coats it takes the right attitude.
Being "a lady" is about showing that you have class, manners, and good breeding. Being a classy lady doesn't mean that you should be snobby or stuck up, but that you should have dignity, consideration, and moderation in your daily actions. Reading and/or watching period novels and dramas can be a great inspiration. However, remember that today things are no longer as stiff and formal as they once were! ;)
