Ladylike with a full skirt

Come immaginerete, io lo stile ladylike, soprattutto quello di ispirazione anni 50, lo adoro!
Lo trovo raffinato e femminile ma senza essere esageratamente sexy, con pizzico di dolcezza ed allegria insomma. E naturalmente la tendenza delle gonne a ruota mi ha subito conquistata!
Infatti non appena sono uscite ho subito acquistato questa gonna che vedete su Asos.
Salvo che poi non riuscivo proprio a vedermela addosso: un pò per il colore (probabilmente avrei dovuto immaginarlo subito che scegliere il giallo non sarebbe stato questo colpo di genio... e dire che non l'ho presa rossa perchè pensavo che sarebbe stata troppo appariscente, che cima eh?), un pò per la lunghezza (prima era lunga fino all'incirca al polpaccio, ma poi l'ho fatta accorciare), un pò perchè di per sè è un capo abbastanza impegnativo, sta di fatto che la prima uscita ufficiale l'ha fatta Domenica scorsa.
Data la bella giornata di sole, e tutta entusiasta della primavera, visto che dovevo andare a pranzo fuori, mi son detta: "massì, proviamola e vediamo come va!"
E devo dire che non è andata così male, dopo un pò di incertezza iniziale mi sono sentita subito a mio agio, ed anche i miei hanno approvato il mio look (il che, se da una parte è consolante perchè significa che non ero così fuori dalle righe, dall'altra, conoscendo le loro idee su come mi dovrei vestire, mi ha fatto pensare:" ma non è che alla fine mi sono vestita da vecchia???"): voi che ne dite, look approvato o no? :)

As you can imagine , I love ladylike style , especially the 50's inspired!
I find it elegant and feminine without being overly sexy, with a hint of sweetness and joy. And of course I was immediately comìnquered by full skirts!
In fact, as soon as they came out I immediately bought this skirt you see in the pics on Asos.
But then I could not just see myself with it: a little bit for the color (probably I should have known right away that choose the yellow would not have been this stroke of genius ... and I have not taken the red one because I thought it would be too flashy... very smart, huh?) , a bit to the length ( before it was calf lenght, but then I made it shorten ) a little bit because it is a fairly challenging piece, the fact is that I wore it for the first time last Sunday.
Since it was a beautiful sunny day , and I was all excited about the spring,  and since  I had to go out to lunch, I said to myself : "let's try it and see how it goes ! "
And I have to say it was not so bad: after some initial uncertainty I felt immediately at ease , and even my parents have passed my look (which, on the one hand it is comforting because it means that I was not so out of the lines, on the other hand , knowing their ideas on how I should dress , made me think: " isn't that at the end I dressed up as old lady ???") : what do you say , look approved or not? :)
