Le candidature country ai 53esimi Grammy Awards

Sono state rese note mercoledì scorso le candidature per i 53esimi Premi Grammy la cui assegnazione avverrà il prossimo 13 febbraio 2011 presso lo Staple Center di Los Angeles e trasmessi in diretta sulla CBS tra le 20 e le 23.30 (ora della costa est). Di seguito elenco la parte che riguarda la musica country , anche se sia i Lady Antebellum che Miranda Lambert sono stati nominati in categorie che riguardano anche altri generi musicali (che riporto indicando come NON COUNTRY). Per completezza tengo a sottolineare che il grande Marty Stuart ha ricevuto ben due candidature country ai Grammy. Una è quella – indicata qui sotto – come Migliore Collaborazione Country con Voce per “I Run To You” cantata con la moglie Connie Smith. L’altra compare nella categoria (assente dall’elenco) “Best Country Instrumental” (country strumentale) per “Hummingbyrd”, il tributo di Stuart al grande chitarrista Clarence White. Entrambi i pezzi sono contenuti nel disco “Ghost Train (the studio B session)”.
