(ITA) Trust è il rovescio della medaglia di Things we lost in the fire: pur mantenendo un'assoluta perfezione formale, rispetto al precedente lavoro del trio del Minnesota quest'opera abbandona le dolci e cullanti melodie in favore di marce funeree (That's how you sing amazing grace), requiem sonnambuli (Candy girl) e nenie inquietanti (Point of disgust). Lo spirito di Neil Young aleggia su numerose canzoni (immediato il riferimento nella ballata folk In the drugs, o nel mantra elettrico di Canada). "Al crescere degli ascolti, questo può benissimo essere il disco più cupo, più tetro, più "low" dei Low, una sorta di Tonight's the Night per la generazione slo-core (Scaruffi)".
