L'estate scorsa siamo stati a Vasto, in provincia di Chieti. Volevamo passare pochi giorni al mare, non allontanandoci troppo (eravamo a Pescocostanzo per una conferenza) e senza spendere tanto. Quindi abbiamo optato per tre notti in campeggio, nella Riserva Naturale Regionale di Punta Aderci. Si è rivelata un'ottima e piacevole vacanza low cost di cui ora vi racconterò!
Last summer we were in Vasto, in the province of Chieti. We wanted to spend a few days at the seaside, keeping not too much far (we were in Pescocostanzo for a conference) and we had a limited budget. So we opted for three nights camping in the Regional Natural Reserve of Punta Aderci. It proved an excellent and enjoyable low cost holiday. I'm now going to tell you!

Siamo partiti in un caldo fine agosto, dopo già numerose vacanze e viaggi (io ero già stata a Serifos e a Lisbona) e quindi le risorse erano limitate. Abbiamo deciso di scappare però qualche giorno al mare per fuggire il caldo torrido e abbiamo deciso di buttarci nell'avventura del camping - per me nuova.
Prima di partire ci siamo procurati una tenda da trekking Decathol (che attualmente sta facendo i saldi proprio sulle attrezzature da campeggio - visitate il SITO), un materassino gonfiabile, un telo di plastica, una torcia e ci siamo messi in viaggio.
We started in a warm late August, after already numerous holidays and travel (during that summer I had already been in Serifos and Lisbon) and then we wanted to spend less money. Anyway we decided to run away for a few days at the seaside to escape the scorching heat and we decided to throw us in the adventure of camping - that was new for me.
Before leaving, we get a trekking tent by Decathol (which is currently sales their camping gear - visit the SITE), an air mattress, a plastic sheet, a flashlight and we went on the road.

Abbiamo scelto il Camping Oasi Punta Aderci e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Si tratta di un camping a gestione famigliare, molto curato e piacevole. Lo staff è molto disponibile e i servizi sono ottimi.Nonostante fossimo arrivati in tarda serata, ci è stata procurata una buona pizza dalle cucine e la mattina dopo abbiamo potuto fare un'ottima colazione al bar del campo.
Siamo riusciti a trovare una zona all'ombra di un vigneto, in modo da non essere svegliati la mattina da troppa luce e troppo calore. Accanto alla nostra postazione c'era la corrente elettrica che ci ha permesso di poter caricare cellulari, macchine fotografiche e anche di usare il computer.
We chose the Camping Oasi Punta Aderci and we enjoyed it so much. This is a family run campsite, and we found it very nice and pleasant. The staff is very helpful and the services are so good. Notwithstanding we arrived late in the night, the staff procured us a good pizza from the kitchen and the next morning we could do a great breakfast at the bar of the camp.
We managed to find an area under the shadow of a vineyard, so as not to be woken in the morning by the sun light or too much heat. Next to our location there was some power points that has allowed us to charge phones, cameras and also use the computer.

Il camping dà sulla spiaggia e per raggiungere la zona più bella bastano pochi passi sul bagnasciuga. C'è anche un servizio di navetta gratuito dal camping alla città o al mare. Per 3€ si possono invece noleggiare mountain bike e girare nella verde Riserva di Punta Aderci.La spiaggia è di sassi e il mare, nella zona della "punta", è limpido e piacevole.
The campsite overlooks the beach and the most beautiful area is just a few steps along the shore. There is also a free shuttle bus from the campsite to the city or the beach. In addiction for 3 € you can rent a mountain bike and go around the green Reserve of Punta Aderci.
The beach is stony and the water, in the area of "Punta", is clear and pleasant.

Per ora, nulla da aggiungere a queste immagini "blu, dipinte di blu", se non un po' di nostalgia. Nei prossimi post vi mostrerò le foto che abbiamo scattato al tramonto e vi dirò qualche parola sulla graziosa cittadina di Vasto.
For now, nothing to add to these "blue painted of blue" (from the famous italian song "Volare") images, maybe just a bit of nostalgic feeling. In the next post I will show you the pictures we took at sunset and I'll tell you something about the lovely town of Vasto.
