Paris Fashion Week (part 3): Alexander McQueen

With a little delay is finally here the last post about fashion shows I particularly appreciated/noticed.
After its founder's disappearance, all fashionistas wondered: will Alexander McQueen remain the same brand we used to love? The answer is (at least at the moment) yes. And what a relieving answer is that! The collection for next summer designe by Sarah Burton is a triumph of the baroque inspiration, featuring laces, feathers, rich prints and a lot of gold, black and white. Cuts and details underline the theatrical aspect of the style of the house, a constant trait that all addicted will recognise with great pleasure. Some outfits are clearly a tribute to Alexander's past creations, for example look #28, that with his butterflies makes immediately think of the hat presented for the SS 2008 collection.

Con un pò di ritardo ecco l'ultimo post riguardo alle sfilate che ho particolarmente apprezzato/notato.
Dopo la scomparsa del suo fondatore, la domanda che tutti i fashionstas si ponevano era: Alexander McQueen resterà lo stesso brand che abbiamo sempre amato? La risposta è (almeno per il momento), sì. E che sollievo è tale risposta! La collezione per la prossima estate disegnata da Sarah Burton è un vero trionfo dell'ispirazione barocca, caratterizzata da pizzi, piume, ricche stampe e tanto oro unito a bianco e nero. I tagli e i dettagli sottolineano l'aspetto teatrale dello stile della maison, un tratto costante che tutti gli appassionati riconosceranno con piacere. Alcuni outfits sono dei chiari tributi alle collezioni passate di Alexander, come ad esempio il look 28 che, con le sue farfalle, ricorda il celebre cappello proposto per l'estate 2008.Focus: gli abiti lunghi dal 29 al 33, assolutamente mozzafiato.
