Paris Fashion Week Review [19th - 23rd January 2011]

After shows in Milan, I hoped Paris would be amazing more than ever. Unfortunately, it didn't happen... What will I die-for next winter? Who knows. In the meantime, I will show what impressed me the most (positively or not).
When I think of black made in France, I usually figure Dior Homme, Givenchy or YSL outfits. This time, instead, was Louis Vuitton that defined the image of the elegance colour. I'm not used to seeing this dark mood by a house I usually appreciate for its "boor" glamorous details, but on the whole I like the collection. Nice the red touch of passion in the end. Here some looks I love:

What is sure is that the new accessory for men is the clutch/briefcase: seen also on the Gucci catwalk [see my previous post], it has been proposed by LV in a thicker version and in different leathers with golden lock closure.

Dries Van Noten is a designer of the Belgian school whose talent is appreciated worldwide. He is not among my favourite, but this time he surprised me: I absolutely adored the fur details on lapels. Surely something to take inspiration from!

Finally, I would like to talk about Givenchy. This was one of the shows that disappointed me the most: all seemed like already seen, and what was new... Left me puzzled! Dobermanns printed everywhere, that's what Riccardo Tisci thought for next season. Comments are up to you.

Dopo le passerelle di Milano, ho sperato che Parigi sarebbe stata fantastica più che mai. Purtroppo, non è successo... Per che cosaperderò la testa il prossimo inverno? Chi lo sa. Nel frattempo, vi mostro che cosa mi ha colpito di più (positivamente o meno).
Quando penso al nero made in France, di solito mi vengono in mente look di Dior Homme, Givenchy o YSL. Questa volta, invece, è Louis Vuitton che ha definito l'immagine del colore dell'eleganza. Non sono abituato a vedere questo dark mood da una casa che di solito apprezzo per i suoi "cafoni" dettagli glamour, ma nel complesso la collezione mi piace. Bello il passionale tocco di rosso alla fine. Ecco alcuni outfit che amo.
 
Ciò che è certo è che il nuovo accessorio per gli uomini è il clutch/portadocumenti: visto anche sulla passerella di Gucci [si veda mio post precedente], è stato proposto da LV in una versione più spessa e in diversi pellami con chiusura a serratura dorata.
 
Dries Van Noten è uno stilista della scuola belga, il cui talento è apprezzato in tutto il mondo. Lui non è tra i miei preferiti, ma questa volta mi ha sorpreso: ho assolutamente adorato i dettagli di pelliccia sui revers. Sicuramente qualcosa da cui prendere ispirazione!
Infine, vorrei parlare di Givenchy. Questa è stata una delle sfilate che più mi ha deluso: tutto sembra già visto, e quel che c'era di nuovo... Mi ha lasciato perplesso! Dobermann stampati ovunque, questo è quello che Riccardo Tisci ha pensato per la prossima stagione. I commenti li lascio a voi.
