Oggi voglio parlarvi di una bellissima iniziativa: Playground around the corner!

Today I want to tell you about a wonderful initiative: Playground around the corner!

Tempo fa (a dire il vero un bel po’ di tempo fa) ho ricevuto una mail da Mary, mamma emiliana che ha pensato ad un blog per sopperire alla mancanza di informazioni relativa ad un argomento in Italia davvero poco considerato e per fare luce su questo tema, parlandone e coinvolgendo pubblico e altri blog: i parchi giochi per bambini.

Some time ago (actually quite a lot of time ago) I received an email from Mary, Italian mother who has created a blog to make up for the lack of information on a very little considered topic in Italy and to shed light on this theme, speaking and involving the public and other blogs: playgrounds for children.

Il suo blog (www.playgroundaroundthecorner.com) vuole raccogliere informazioni attualmente mancanti (descrizioni, immagini, opinioni) riguardanti i parchi giochi che esistono in Italia, in ogni paese o città che sia. Queste informazioni possono essere utili a viaggiatori con bambini al seguito (quale migliore soluzione del parco giochi per fare giocare un bambino in viaggio con mamma e papà regalandogli un momento dedicato al gioco?).

Her blog (www.playgroundaroundthecorner.com) wants to collect information currently missing (descriptions, images, reviews) regarding playgrounds that exist in Italy, in every town or city This information can be useful for travelers with kids (what better solution for a childtraveling with mom and dad than giving him a moment dedicated to the game in a playground?).

Obiettivo: aiutare altre famiglie in viaggio, sia in Italia che all’estero, e fare luce su questi spazi nel nostro paese troppo poco considerati e spesso trascurati.

Mission: To help other families on the go, both in Italy and abroad, and to shed light on these areas that in our country are often overlooked.

Da poco tempo l’iniziativa (a mio avviso splendida ed utilissima) di Mary si è trasformata anche in una App, davvero utile alle famiglie in viaggio, per aiutare coloro che cercano un modo semplice per fare giocare i piccoli accompagnatori desiderosi di una pausa di gioco: non è necessario trascorrere intere giornate in parchi divertimenti o ricorrere a strutture con mini club, spesso il parco giochi dietro l’angolo (da qui il nome del blog) si presenta come un’ottima soluzione.

For a short time Mary‘s initiative (in my opinion beautiful and useful) has turned in an App, really useful for traveling families, to help those who are looking for an easy way to let the small companions play: you do not need to spend whole days in theme parks or resorts with mini club, often the playground around the corner (hence the blog name) looks like a good solution.

Ma dove sono queste aree? Come sono allestite? Quali servizi offrono? Quali sono consigliate e quali no? L’applicazione fornisce mappa, immagini, descrizione dei parchi giochi pubblici per aiutare il turista in viaggio con bambini a scegliere in quale area recarsi. L’utente ha la possibilità di inserire parchi giochi non ancora recensiti o di commentare aree già presenti sulla mappa, in Italia o all’estero. L’applicazione è gratuita e disponibile per smartphone e tablet, Apple e Android.

The application provides maps, pictures, descriptions of public playgrounds to help tourists traveling with children to choose which area to go to.
