For Winter 2014 Quiksilver joins forces with Isaora to introduce a capsule snow collection entitled RARE EARTH. Born from a shared belief in the mariage of form with function and a commitment to building extra ordinary product the collaboration brings together the spirit of performance and forward thinking design that are the hallmarks of the two brands. Inspired by the elements known as «rare earths» the collection is built around the idea of the transformation of natural elements into technology and focuses on the intersection between the complex beauty of nature and technical man-made precision. The idea of «rare earth» also references the alchemic nature of the Quiksilver name and a profound respect for our home, this rare earth. The collection comprises a complete solution for the discerning rider who values quality and appreciates design driven performance. From the base layer to the 3L shell each piece embodies premium quality and expresses a discreetly sophisticated aesthetic. The subtle textural prints provide a visual representation of the concept while the materials and manufacturing are a testament to technical excellence and craftsmanship. Developed by the legendary Jonathan & Fletcher studio in the french alps the collection utilizes the most advanced materials and construction while paying tribute to the artisan process and the human touch. All materials are sourced from premium european mills . The result is a combination of design, craftsmanship, and performance that raises the bar and redefines the category. The collection is completed by a 21L pack that mixes the signature print with premium leather and wraps up the project.

Inspirata dagli elementi <rare earths> la collezione ruota intorno all’idea di trasformazione di elementi naturali in tecnologia e si focalizza sull’intersezione tra la complessa bellezza della natura e la precisione tecnica dell’uomo. L’idea di <rare earths> fa riferimento anche alla natura del nome Quiksilver e al profondo rispetto per la nostra casa, questa rara e preziosa terra.
