Rae Creations, Artigianalità con passione

Roberta Riboni è la fondatrice di Rae Creations, ed è un’artigiana speciale perchè porta avanti una sartoria ricca di contaminazioni con varie forme d’arte. La sua storia personale è fatta di arte e artigianato, i simboli sono un busto del 1945, un ditale, i cappellini di sua madre e una valigia. Cosa fa, cosa crea? Accessori, costumi per il tango, abiti da cerimonia, borse e fascinator dal sapore vintage.

I concetti guida sono tanti, ma uno su tutti: ricordare sempre che l’italianità è manualità, cura e unicità.

Due esempi: un prodotto che ho visto di persona sono le borse Bustier à Porter, piccole borse per portare con sé un po’ di eleganza d’altri tempi e civetteria.

Un altro esempio affascinante del modo di lavorare di Roberta fa parte della collezione del 2012: le borse della linea “27th”, tutte handcrafted. Nascono dallo studio dei materiali e delle tecniche, la ricerca storica: sono borse con una miniatura incastonata nella borsa, tutte pezzi unici.

Roberta Riboni is the founder of Rae Creations, and she’s not an average tailor but indeed a very special one, because she works in a unique way, rich of contaminations with various forms of art.
Her personal history and inspiration is made of music, sounds, arts and crafts, and her symbols are a bust from 1945, a thimble, the caps of her mother and an old suitcase. She creates accessories, tango costumes, formal dresses, handbags and vintage-like fascinators.
The most important idea about her creations is that the Italian manual work is made of care and uniqueness.
Two examples: the first one is a product that I personally saw in Ferrara, the bags Bustier à Porter, small bags to bring some elegance from the past with you.
But there is another fascinating example of the way of working of Roberta, and it is part of the collection of 2012, the collection “27th”, of course all handcrafted. At the base of a large study of materials and techniques, historical research, combinations of color and lines. they have a miniature in the bag.
