Sono emozionata nel parlarvi della prima seria Partnership di The Travel Eater.
Avevo ricevuto spesso, da agenzie e siti turistici, proposte di collaborazione prima di questa, ma ho sempre dovuto rifiutare per garantire fedeltà ai principi e ai fini con cui è nato questo blog e che, credo, i lettori si aspettano ogni volta che lo visitano (innanzitutto la spontaneità nelle recensioni e nei consigli, i  quali devono essere nati dall'esperienza personale, e mantenersi spassionati e senza influenze di alcun tipo).
Con roomorama, invece l'intesa è stata fin da subito perfetta: professionalità e competenza sono emerse fin da subito.
Ma prima di continuare, vi spiego di cosa si tratta ;).
I am thrilled to tell you about the first serious The Travel Eater's Partnership.

I often received some request of collaboration before from agencies and tourist sites, but I always had to refuse to ensure fidelity to the principles and purposes with this blog was born and in which, I think, readers believe (above all the spontaneity in the reviews and recommendations, which must be born from personal experience, and remain dispassionate and without influence of any kind).

With roomorama, the agreement was perfect until the beginning: professionalism and competence have emerged immediately.

Come avrete capito dal simpatico video di presentazione, Roomorama dà la possibilità ai viaggiatori di tutto il mondo di affittare per brevi periodi (fino a 90 giorni) case e appartamenti di livello medio-alto (ma rispondendo ad ogni fascia di prezzo! Ho dato un'occhiata e spesso i prezzi di deliziosi appartamenti coincidono a quelli di squallidi hotel...)(vedisi foto sotto: 3 persone, a giugno, 87€ a notte a Berlino in Alexanderplaz) direttamente dai privati in modo semplice e sicuro.
Il progetto comune è il seguente: nonappena mi sarà possibile intraprendere un viaggio (dopo il mio viaggio a Parigi di mercoledì, in cui sarò ospitata e quindi non necessito la ricerca di una sistemazione), roomorara mi permetterà di provare il proprio servizio, così da recensirlo qui: vi spiegherò tappa per tappa l'utilizzo del servizio e vi mostrerò le foto dell'appartamento che sceglierò.
As you can see in the nice video presentation, Roomorama gives travelers around the world the opportunity to rent for short periods (up to 90 days) houses and apartments in medium-high level (but responding to any price range! I have had a look, and prices of delightful apartments often coincide with those of squalid hotels ...)(see photo below: 3 people, in June, 87 € per night in Berlin -Alexanderplaz) directly from individuals in a simple and secure way.

Our joint is as follows: the nex time I'll beable to have a trip (after my trip to Paris on Wednesday, where I hosted and then I don't need accommodations), roomorara'll allow me to try their service, so I'll review it here: I will explain step by step the use of the service and I will show you the pictures of the flat I will choose.



Il sito è partito ufficialmente a gennaio del 2009 a NY, e ora si stanno diffondendo in giro per il mondo (soprattutto nelle città) e il loro sistema conta 30 000 sistemazioni fra case e appartamenti.
The site is officially launched in January 2009 in NY, and now they are spreading around the world (especially in cities) and their system has now 30,000 accommodations including houses and apartments.

Il team è distribuito in 4 uffici: New York / Singapore / Beijing / Cebu.Come avrete capito, il sistema è simile a quello del celeberrimo Airbnb (che io non ho mai utilizzato ma riguardo al quale ho comunque ricevuto ottimi pareri - credo dipenda dalle proprie esigenze). Ma non è la stessa cosa - e ci tengono a precisarlo. Infatti:

• Piu' del 90% del loro inventario è costituito da case e appartamenti che vengono interamente affittati all'ospite (ossia il proprietario non vive nella casa/appartamento durante il soggiorno), quindi nella stragrande maggior parte dei casi non esiste interazione fra l'ospite e il proprietario, se non durante il check in/out.
• Il servizio è gestito prevalentemente con proprietari e costruttori con un portafoglio di parecchi immobili – anzichè cercare 50 proprietari che affittano casa propria saltuariamente si rifanno a un professionista che affitta 50 appartamenti/case per brevi periodi durante tutto l’anno. 
• Tengono moltissimo (e anche noi!) alla questione "sicurezza" – Roomorama utilizza un sistema di "codice di pagamento" per cui il proprietario viene pagato solo nel momento in cui il check in avviene con successo.
• Roomorama fa uno screening dell'ospite e del proprietario prima che venga effettuato il check in e (a differenza di Airbnb) stipula un contratto di affitto fra le 2 parti.

The team is distributed in 4 offices: New York / Singapore / Beijing /Cebu.
As you can see, the system is similar to the famous Airbnb's one (which I never used but about which I have still received excellent opinions - I think it depends on your needs). But it is not the same thing - and they like to qualify it. In fact:

• More than 90% of their inventory consists of houses andapartments that are fully leased to the guest (ie the owner does not live in the house / apartment during the stay), then in the vast majority of cases there is no interaction between the guest and the owner, if not during the check in / out.
• The service is managed mostly with owners and developers with a portfolio of several properties - rather than look for 50 owners who rent their home from time to time, they are based on a professional who rents 50 apartments / houses for short periods through out the year.
• They take care a lot (and us) to "security" issue - Roomorama uses a system of "payment code" for which the owner is only paid when the check-in is successful.
• Roomorama has a screening of the host and the owner before it is checked in, and (unlike Airbnb) enters into a lease agreement between the 2 parties.

• A differenza dei concorrenti, per quanto nato in America e ora disponibile in tutto il mondo, Roomorama sta crescendo notevolmente nel contesto asiatico, sopratutto in paesi come Cina, Indonesia e Thailandia.
• Il programma Perks da la possibilità a ospiti e proprietari di godere degli sconti e dei vantaggi offerti dalle collaborazioni di Roomorama con servizi locali (palestre, ristoranti, imprese di pulizia, noleggio telefoni cellulari…)

• Unlike competitors, even it was born in America and now available worldwide, Roomorama is growing significantly in the Asian context, especially in countries like China, Indonesia and Thailand.
• The Perks program gives the opportunity for guests and owners to enjoy the discounts and benefits offered by Roomorama collaborations with local services (gyms, restaurants, cleaning firms, mobile phone hire ...) 

Inoltre possiede anche il servizio Business Concierge Roomorama per facilitare l'utilizzo del servizio a  piccole e medie imprese offrendo prezzi vantaggiosi.
Ho deciso di collaborare con loro perché si sono sempre rivolti a me in modo serio e professionale. Offrendomi opportunità che non garantissero necessariamente una pubblicità positiva: sarà coerente a tutta la 'filosofia' di The Travel Eater utilizzare il servizio e recensirlo (non vedo l'ora!)!!

Il progetto di espansione di Roomorama guarda la trasformazione del turismo con la rivoluzione tecnologica.
Sanno che senza l'automatizzazione della comunicazione, il non doversi più rivolgere necessariamente ad agenzie, i pagamenti online, i processi di screening della controparte, il sistema di feedback … tutto ciò non sarebbe possibile.
Quindi anche i blogger, in un contesto del genere, iniziano a valere qualcosa. (e io ne gioisco!!)

The expansion project Roomorama watch the transformation of tourism because of the technological revolution.
They know that without the automation of communication, not necessarily having to pay agencies, online payments, screening processes of the counterparty, the feedback system ... all this would not be possible.
So even bloggers, in such a context, begin to be worth something. (and I'm glad for it!)

Siete curiosi anche voi, per quando utilizzerò il servizio? Voi lo avete già usato, lo conoscevate???Io non sto più nella pelle!!!
Qui ho pubblicato immagini di appartamenti con un prezzo medio/basso. Non vi sto a dire che ci sono appartamenti di design pazzeschi, per chi può concedersi lusso e charme!
