Sembra stampa ma non è!

Durante le nostre esposizioni ci capita spesso di dover spiegare la nostra tecnica e sfatare la domanda: "Ma sono stampe?"
No non sono stampe. Non sono per niente stampe. Non sono assolutamente stampe.
Tutti i quadri della serie OOT, Hypnoglyphics, Freak Friends Show, le sculture, i Protopodmork, come descritto nella tecnica sono fatti di grafite, inchiostri, acrilici su tela o su resina o su ceramica o su legno.
Le uniche stampe sono GummyPod e qualche foto su alluminio.

"Ma non c'è una sbavatura! Non si vede la pennellata!"
Eccerto! La precisione tecnica dei nostri lavori a volte può ingannare, anche osservandoli da vicino. Il colore viene steso maniacalmente da Nadia, quasi liquido, passate su passate con mano ferma e scrupolosità chirurgica.

Decisamente Superflat!

Anche il disegno a grafite può trarre in inganno, la tela che usiamo di base è superfine e con successive lavorazioni riusciamo a renderla ancora più liscia tanto da sembrare un foglio di carta.
"Sì ma tu fai tutti quei disegni a mano?"
Sì, con i piedi è più difficile.

It looks like a print, but it isn't.

During our exhibitions we often have to explain our technique and dispel the question: "But are they prints?" No, they are not prints. They are not prints at all. They are absolutely not prints. All the paintings in the OOT, Hypnoglyphics, Friends Freak Show series, the sculptures, the ProtoPodmork, as described in the technique, are made of graphite, ink, acrylic on canvas, on resin, on ceramic or on wood. The only prints are the GummyPod and some photos on aluminum. "But there's a flaw! You do not see the brushstroke! " Of course! The technical precision of our work can sometimes deceive, even with close examination. The color is spread maniacally by Nadia, almost liquid, pass on pass with a firm hand and surgical scrupulousness. Definitely Superflat! Also graphite drawing can be misleading, the canvas we use is basically superfine and through subsequent processes we can make it even smoother, so it looks like a sheet of paper. "Yes, but do you do all the drawings by hand?" Yes, with your feet it is more difficult.
