Questo mese io e Laura abbiamo deciso di concentrarci su uno dei trend più visti della stagione, quello delle sfumature.
Hello everyone and welcome to April's Style Bits! With this post me and Laura want to talk about on of the main trends of this season: graduate shading.
In realtà stampe e tessuti sfumati ritornano sempre a distanza di pocho tempo, e infatti, dopo qualche anno di 'silenzio' eccoli riapparire prima sulle passerella di Christopher Kane (ricordate la resort collection 2012?) e poi da Ann Demeulemeester, Band of Outsiders, Marc Jacobs, Chanel haute couture e moltissimi altri.

E se pensate che cappotti e camicie sfumate siano solo una prerogativa femminile vi sbagliate di grosso.Ann Demeulemeester e Band of Outsiders mostrano come anche gli uomini possano osare le sfumature e Zara non si lascia sfuggire l'occasione di proporre pantaloni bianchi sfumati di blu 'per lui' che ci lasciano un po' perplesse.

Ann Demeulemeester and Band of Outsider designed some garments for the boys, while Zara proposes navy blue-on-white trousers which we find really 'too much' for our boyfriends.
Le grandi catene low cost chiaramente non si sono fatte sfuggire il nuovo tormentone e così Zara viene invasa da centinaia di t-shirt, abiti e pantaloni sfumati (già visti sulle blogger di tutto il mondo) mentre Asos punta molto sui completi (che siamo convinte spopoleranno nella blogosfera).
The big low-cost brands obviously jumped on this wagon: that's why Zara is overloaded with t-shirts, dresses and pants (already worn by every blogger in the world!) and Asos decided to focus on shaded suits, and we're sure that they will be the next big thing in the blogosphere.
Ciò che più ci ha colpite è che questa volta il nuovo trend non si è limitato a dettare legge per quanto riguarda l'abbigliamento ma si è imposto anche nel mondo beauty. Gli ombre hair lanciati dall'ultima sfilata di Prada stanno ormai facendo proseliti ed esistono addirittura due diverse varianti di manicure sfumate.La manicure 'ombre nails' consiste nell'applicare uno smalto diverso su ogni unghia per formare una gradazione in senso orizzontale mentre la più complicata 'fade nails' manicure prevede l'applicazione di più smalti diversi sulla stessa unghia per creare il tanto ricercato effetto sfumato (qua il tutorial).

The two-tone hair that we first saw on the latest Prada catwalks are now all the rage and the web is full of tutorials for 'fade nails' manicures.
If you prefer something easier try the ombre nails and apply 5 different shades of a color, each one on a finger!
