Sul suo sito (qui) MARY BALOGH una delle più amate autrici di historical romance, ha scritto per le sue lettrici un memorandum delle sue prossime uscite per questa ultima parte del 2010 e per il prossimo anno. Guardiamo un po'...

Il 2010 vedrà l'uscita di altri quattro libri, due dei quali sono antologie, uno un romanzo singolo e un altro una novella lunga (romanzo breve).Bespelling Jane e The Betrothal sono due raccolte, che usciranno entrambe il 28 settembre prossimo . In ognuna c'è una mia novella, rispettivamente : "Almost Persuaded" e "The Betrothal Ball" . La prima delle due è una novella mai pubblicata prima. La seconda è apparsa per la prima volta in una vecchia raccolta del 1996: Love's Legacy .Il romanzo è A Christmas Promise, pubblicato per la prima volta come Signet Regency della Signet nel 1992. Sarà di nuovo fuori il 26 ottobre 2010. Il romanzo breve (novella) è A Matter of Class, pubblicato per la prima volta in brossura l'anno scorso. L'edizione in edizione economica sarà pubblicata il 7 dicembre 2010.Nel 2011 usciranno alcuni romanzi, sia vecchi che nuovi.A Secret Affair, pubblicato in brossura nel 2010, apparirà in edizione economica il 25 gennaio 2011. si tratta del romanzo numero 5 dell quintetto HUXTABLE, è la storia di Sebastian.It Happened One Season è previsto per aprile 2011. E' una raccolta di quattro nuovi romanzi brevi firmati da Stephanie Laurens, Jacquie D'Alessandro, Candice Hern, e da me. L'avevamo già fatto con It Happened One Night, quando avevamo scritto tutte storie con la stessa premessa di base nella trama. Allora l'idea delaltrama venne in mente a noi. Questa volta abbiamo aperto una gara per la scelta e abbiamo chiesto alle lettrici di presentare tre idee di trama che a loro sarebbe piaciuto noi sviluppassimo nelle nostre storie. La vincitrice è stata Phyllis Post e la la traccia di trama da seguire era questa:(1) Il fratello più giovane di un nobile, l'eroe, ha fatto carriera nell'esercito ma ha vissuto da recluso dopo ils uo ritorno dalla guerra con la Francia. (2) L'eroina è timida o poco attraente e dopo molte stagioni in società non ha ancora trovato un pretendente. (3) TIl fratello dell'eroe ha solo figlie femmine e chiede alll'eroe di sposarsi per assicuare alla famiglia un successore. More Than a Mistress ( maggio 2011) è la storia di Jocelyn Dudley, duca di Tresham, e di Jane Ingleby, fu pubblicato per la prima voltai nel 2000. No Man's Mistress ( giugno 2010), è la storia di Lord Ferdinand Dudley, fratello di Tresham, e di Viola Thornhill ed uscì per la prima volta nel 2001. The Secret Mistress, è un prequel tutto nuovo alla serie e sarà pibblicato in brossura a luglio.E' la storia di Lady Angeline Dudley, sorella di Tresham e Lord Ferdinand e di Edward Ailsbury, conte di Heyward. I due sono già sposati neglia ltri libri ma le lettrici mi hanno chiesto di scrivere la loro storia e adesso è arrivata.Troverete ulteriori dettagli su questio tre romanzi sul mio sito il prossimo anno.E nell'ottobre 2011 ci sarà un'altra edizione di 'due libri in uno' di miei vecchi, romanzi. In questo ci sarà The Famous Heroine e The Plumed Bonnet, che sono parte di una serie con Dark Angel e Lord Carew's Bride, pubblicati insieme nel 2010 e A Christmas Bride, in uscita (con Christmas Beau) nel 2012.Altri due-in-uno seguiranno nel 2012 e 2013: A Promise of Spring e The Temporary Wife nel 2012, e The Counterfeit Betrothal and The Notorious Rake nel 2013.Prossimo nella mia tabella di marcia di scrittrice sarà un libro che molte di voi aspettano da tanto.Scriverò una storia per Gwen, Lady Muir (apparsa in One Night for Love, A Summer to Remember e in altri libri.) Sto accarezzando l'idea di fare della sua storia il primo romanzo di una nuova serie, ma le idee sono ancora vaghe e non c'è niente di sviluppato al momento. Mentre vi stos crivendo ho solo finito la storia di Angeline e Heyward e ho bisogno di u n po' di tempo per dare aria alla testa!

I have taken a what-if approach to Austen's novel. What if, long before Austen's story starts, Anne Elliott had resisted being persuaded to decline the marriage offer of Captain Wentworth, the man she loved? What if she had been almost persuaded but not quite? And what if the reason was that she realized before it was too late that both she and Wentworth had been reincarnated again after countless lives of not quite having the courage to fight for their love of each other against all odds? I have changed the names of the characters, by the way.

THE BETROTHAL has two all-new novellas by Trish Albright and Gerri Russell and one older short novella of mine. "The Betrothal Ball" first appeared in Love's Legacy (1996), a Leisure anthology of a dozen or so short novellas published to raise money for a literary cause. I know very little about this anthology as I have heard nothing from the publisher and found out about it quite by accident when I saw the cover on a web site and recognized my name! I even had to do some sleuthing to discover which of my stories was going to be in the book."The Betrothal Ball" is a classic Cinderella-type story in which a jaded aristocrat falls in love with a lowly governess despite the fact that the house is filled with far more dazzling ladies.

In A CHRISTMAS PROMISE The Earl of Falloden inherited heavy debts along with his title fourteen months before the start of the book. He has little chance of every repaying them. But then he is given the chance to have all his debts cancelled if he will marry the daughter of the man who has bought them up. Mr. Transome, enormously wealthy coal merchant, is dying and wants to settle his daughter into a secure marriage before he goes.
