The Dragger by Dogma Motorcycles

Dogma Motorcycles was born in Madrid in 2011 when Borja Jimenez started to build his special bikes as a hobby (and Inazuma Cafè was there!). But, despite his new professional effort, Borja states that the engine of every single project is still the passion for motorcycles. At Dogma, they like every bike: “There's something special inside every bike, so we try to discover where it is. We make clean and low motorcycles with loud spirit improving the performance for street ride”. The Dragger project, based on a quiet 1991 Yamaha Virago 1100, started as a blank idea. Daniel, the owner, gave Dogma only three conditions: it had to be low, strong and discreet… Read on!
La Dogma Motorcycles è nata a Madrid nel 2011, quando Borja Jimenez ha iniziato a costruire le sue moto speciali per hobby (e Inazuma Cafè c’era!). Ma, nonostante il suo nuovo impegno professionale, Borja afferma che il motore di ogni singolo progetto è ancora la passione per le moto. Alla Dogma piacciono tutti i tipi di moto: "C'è qualcosa di speciale dentro ogni moto, così cerchiamo di scoprire dove si trova. The first thing to do was to make the heart of the bike more exciting: Dynojet carb kit, high flow air filter and custom direct 2-1 exhaust turned the sleepy engine into a roaring beast. 
La prima cosa da fare è stata quella di rendere il cuore della moto più emozionante: kit Dynojet al carburatore, filtro aria ad alta portata e nuovo scarico artigianale due in uno hanno trasformato il sonnacchioso motore in una belva ruggente.

In order to meet the client’s requirements, the front end required a significant review. So Borja chose forks and triples from a Ducati 999 including Brembo calipers and rotors, Nissin radial brake master, braided lines, Ducati clip on’s and an Aprilia RSV front wheel. A small Bates headlight, bar end mirrors, micro indicators, a Koso speedometer and a custom front fender completed the new angry face of the Dragger. 
Al fine di soddisfare le richieste del cliente, l'avantreno della Virago ha richiesto una significativa revisione. Così Borja ha scelto le piastre e la forcella di una Ducati 999, compresi dischi e pinze Brembo, pompa radiale Nissin, tubi in treccia, semimanubri Ducati e la ruota anteriore di una Aprilia RSV. Un piccolo faro Bates, specchietti bar end, frecce minimaliste, tachimetro Koso e parafango custom hanno completato il nuovo volto arrabbiato della Dragger.


The gas tank is from a Sanglas 400 and was adapted to the Virago frame. The full original wiring was simplified and relocated. / Il serbatoio è di un Sanglas 400 ed è stato adattato al telaio Virago. Tutti i cablaggi sono stati semplificati e riposizionati.

The new Dogma custom subframe is narrower, lower and shorter than the original, reduces the bike length and supports a new custom two level seat. The secondary gas tank was eliminated, leaving only the battery under the seat. A minimal led light share the rear with the fat Pirelli tire.
Il nuovo telaio sottosella è più stretto, più basso e corto di quello originale, riduce la lunghezza della moto e supporta una nuova sella custom a due livelli. Il serbatoio secondario è stato eliminato, lasciando solo la batteria sotto il sedile. Una luce a led minimalista condivide il retrotreno con il grasso pneumatico Pirelli.

Now the Dragger is a proper special street bike, young in the spirit and ready to burn the street! Inazuma approved!
Ora la Dragger è una vera e propri special stradale, giovane nello spirito e pronta a bruciare i semafori!   Approvata a pieni voti dall'Inazuma Cafè.
