Fino a qualche tempo fa, stabilire le tendenze di moda era esclusivo appannaggio di stilisti e case di moda, che, spesso in collaborazione con i personaggi più di spicco della società, imponevano “dall’alto” ciò che era “in” e ciò che invece non lo era.
Oggi le cose sono decisamente cambiate: a farla da padrone è lo “Street Style”, letteralmente, lo “stile di strada”,uno strumento abbastanza recente di fare moda, basato sull’ispirazione che viene dalla gente comune.

Internet dà, infatti, l’opportunità di conoscere lo “Street Style” di New York, Parigi, Londra, Tokio, Singapore, Berlino, Milano, Oslo, Stoccolma, ecc. e di scoprire in tempo reale nuove idee da ogni angolo del globo, permettendo a chiunque, stilisti compresi, di trovare ispirazioni tutte nuove legate a look suggeriti da gente normalissima fotografata per le strade del mondo.
