Wayfarer Ray Ban: Story of an Icon

I've neglected you, maybe too much, and it's going to be like that for a while. So many things to write and zero time to do it. Today I'm gonna talk you about a myth, an icon, a status symbol, two black glasses that have made and will the history. That have made unforgettable music and cinema icons. Two glasses into a trapezoidal frame supported by large barlines, that give to these sunglasses a masculine touch. The same touch that has given sensuality to Kim Novak, charme to Audrey Hepburn, and cocky aggression to Madonna. The same model re-portrayed by contemporary icons such as Rachel Bilson, Mary Kate Olsen or Chloe Sevigny. From few hours they're also in my hands, to cover the dark circles around my eyes after unslepped nights, to rest even with the sun in front of the face in mid-July beach, to hold some hair strands in the head or easily to give that glamour touch that never hurts...
Vi ho trascurato, forse troppo, e sarà così per ancora un po' di tempo. Ho tanta voglia di scrivere e zero tempo per farlo purtroppo. Oggi vi parlo di un mito, un icona, uno staus symbol, due lenti nere che hanno fatto e faranno la storia. Che hanno reso indimenticabili icone della musica e del cinema. Due lenti racchiuse in una montatura trapezoidale sorretta da stanghette larghe, che conferiscono a questi occhiali un tocco decisamente maschile. Lo stesso tocco che ha donato sensualità a Kim Novak, estremo charme ad Audrey Hepburn, ed impertinente aggressività a Madonna. Lo stesso modello reinterpretato da icone contemporanee come Rachel Bilson, Mary Kate Olsen o Chloe Sevigny. Da poche ore sono arrivati anche tra le mie mani, per coprire le occhiaie dopo nottate insonni, per riposarsi seppur con il sole dritto in faccia in una spiaggia di metà Luglio, per fermare sulla testa qualche ciocca di capelli impertinente o più semplicemente per dare quel tocco di glamour che non guasta mai...
