Poco prima di partire per Pretoria, il ct della nazionale Diego Maradona si è fatto fare il suo settimo tatuaggio: il nome del nipote Benjamin, inciso a forma di braccialetto, nell'avambraccio destro, accanto a quello della figlia Giannina, la madre del bambino.
Lo ha rivelato in serata un sito internet argentino, ripreso subito dai media radiotelevisivi del paese due volte campione del mondo. Maradona aveva promesso alla figlia di tatuarsi il nome di Benjamin (figlio anche del calciatore 'Kun' Aguero) al momento della nascita. Per questo aveva preso contatto con uno dei più noti specialisti locali, che gli aveva preparato il disegno. Ma, per vari contrattempi - aveva cercato di farselo fare anche prima della partita amichevole con la Germania - il proposito non si era concretizzato.
E così Maradona giovedì scorso ha convocato lo specialista nel ritiro della nazionale a Ezeiza e ha finalmente mantenuto la promessa. Già che c'era, si è fatto rimettere a nuovo il tatuaggio del 'Che' Guevara e aggiungere la scritta «Sono la mia vita» sotto i nomi delle figlie Dalma e Giannina. Gli altri tatuaggi del ct dell'Argentina sono Fidel Castro, un drago ed un sole.
Al termine della seduta per farsi tatuare Maradona ha commentato che il tatuaggio con il nome del nipote Benjamin, essendo il settimo, gli avrebbe portato fortuna ai Mondiali in Sudafrica spiegando che «non mancano segni del destino». Secondo Maradona infatti «l'anno termina in 10 (2010) e che, come nel 1986 (quando la nazionale vinse i mondiali in Messico n.d.r.), quest'anno, un film argentino si è aggiudicato l'Oscar. Quindi faremo bene»
