Bedhead - What fun life was (1994)

(ITA) La band dei fratelli Kadane suona una musica più vicina al post-rock di Louisville che al dream-pop sognante di Mazzy Star e Cowboy Junkies. Ogni canzone viene costruita partendo da una scarno arpeggio di chitarra, ed aggiungendo ad esso via via sempre più tracce, fino a rendere la canzone stessa una jam rumorosa, piena di ronzii nello stile dei Jesus & Mary Chain. Il problema è che gli incipit sono tutt'altro che evocativi: sembrano solo svogliati. Il loro meglio i Bedhead lo tirano fuori nelle canzoni più rockeggianti e allegre, come The Unpredictable Landlord e Living well.

Each song is built from sparse guitar arpeggios, and adding to it lots of track, making the song itself a heavy jam, full of buzzing noise in the Jesus & Mary Chain's style The problem is that the opening notes are anything but evocative: they just seem lazy. Bedhead bring out their best in rock and cheerful songs, like The Unpredictable Landlord and Living well3/5
