--------------------------------------------------------More or less a week ago my friend Beki Road (here is her blog) commented one of my posts and in the end, making it short, she told me about her culinary experiment with cauliflower which didn't go so well.. well, what better time to review old recipes and give some advices? The one today is a preparation which reminds me of childhood, i guess most of it comes from a recipe of grandma. It is a very tasty cauliflower stew which adds to other ingredients the strong flavor of vinegar. Shall we start? You need a cauliflower (or a bag of frozen ones), white wine vinegar, about 250 g of tomato sauce, salt, pepper, extra virgin olive oil and a garlic clove. Start putting the clean and cut to pieces caulifower to boil (or steam) until they are pretty soft. Drain them and prepare a pan with the oil, add the chopped garlic and then the vegetables. Season with salt and pepper, then add a little of vinegar (not too much or they will be too sour). Cook until the vinegar will evaporate and then add the tomato and half a glass of water. At this point low the fire and let cook for 20 minutes to let the water evaporate. Salt again if necessary and there you have a sweet-and-sour sidedish! If this recipe does not satisfy you don't worry, i still have some to share, so follow me!
