In data di ieri il team di sviluppo ha annunciato la disponibilità della nuova versione di Banshee v. 2.0.1, un media player Open Source progettato per gli ambienti Gnome e basato su Mono e Gtk. Grazie all'utilizzo delle librerie multimediali GStreamer, supporta vari formati tipi di formati multimediali, Ogg, Vorbis, MP3 eFLAC. Dopo quasi un mese dal rilascio della release appartenente al ramo 2.0.x , il team di sviluppo di Banshee, ha rilasciato la versione 2.0.1, del suo player multimediale Open Source. 

Una delle caratteristiche più apprezzate di Banshee, soprattutto dagli gnomi, è la sua interfaccia puilta ed eleganteche consente di sfruttare le tante features in maniera semplice ed immediata, senza perdersi nelle tante liste generate dai brani come in tante altre applicazioni.
