#events (22.03.2014): Italia Independent Cup @ Golf Royal Club I Roveri

ITALIA INDEPENDENT CUP

Un parco immerso nel verde. Questo è stato lo sfondo dell’evento a cui ho partecipato sabato 22 marzo, in onore della II edizione dell’ITALIA INDEPENDENT CUP, gara di golf sponsorizzata dal brand italiano, tenutasi al GOLF CLUB I ROVERI.

Un golf club esclusivo, tra i più prestigiosi in Italia, che porta la firma di Michael Hurdzan, famoso progettista americano di campi da golf a livello mondiale. La location si trova a Fiano, in provincia di Torino, dietro il parco La Mandria. 2 percorsi da 18 buche l’uno. “Oltre ad essere lungo non è facile, c’è molta acqua!” afferma una delle vincitrici (riferendosi ai numerosi laghetti presenti nel parco), che ha comunque totalizzato 34 punti, aggiudicandosi uno dei primi posti.

La gara era aperta ai soci e si è disputata durante tutta la giornata di sabato, con chiusura verso le 18. È poi partita la premiazione, con occhiali Italia Independent (uno più bello dell’altro) e al termine un piccolo rinfresco, con una vasta scelta di cioccolatini Gobino (prestigioso marchio, famosissimo a Torino e non solo), dai più semplici a quelli aromatizzati alla menta, al Martini e al limone (buonissimi ^_^), vino, focaccine calde e Barolo Chinato, speziato, una vera goduria anche per me che il vino non lo bevo. A fare gli onori di Casa Independent, Marco Tolentino, Head of Marketing and Communication di Italia Independent Group (IL NOME NON TI È NUOVO? NE HO PARLATO ALL’EVENTO COLMAR QUI!).

Non ero mai entrata in un golf club e la cosa mi ha sempre molto incuriosita. Unica pecca: il tempo -.-”. Non fosse stato per la pioggia, avrei fatto ben volentieri una passeggiata per l’immenso parco.

ITALIA INDEPENDENT CUP

A big green park. This was the scenario of the event I took part on Saturday, March 22, for the II edition of the ITALIA INDEPENDENT CUP, golf competition sponsored by the Italian brand, placed at the GOLF CLUB I ROVERI.

It’s an exclusive golf club, one of the most prestigious in Italy, designed by the famous American golf courses architect Michael Hurdzan. The location is in Fiano, in the province of Turin, near the famous regional park La Mandria. I Roveri includes 2 courses with 18 holes each. One of the winners, referring to the several lakes in the park, affirms: “It’s long and there is a lot of water!”. She made 34 points, taking one of the first positions.

The competition was for members of the club and took the entire day, ending at about 18PM. Then, the award ceremony, with Italian Independent sunglasses as prizes. Finally, a small buffet, with classical or mint, Martini, lemon (very gooood ^_^) favored Gobino chocolate (prestigious brand, which is very famous not only in Turin), wine, focaccia bread and Barolo Chinato (old and spicy Barolo wine, typical of Piedmont, used as after-dinner digestif and very good with chocolate), too tasting. Marco Tolentino Head of Marketing and Communication of Italia Independent Group (REMEMBER SOMETHING? I TOLD YOU ABOUT HIM HERE, AT THE COLMAR EVENT!), represented the Maison.

I was never been in a golf club before and I was really curious about it. Only bad thing: the weather -.-”. If it hadn’t been raining, I would have gone for a walk around the park.
