GamesCom si svolge a Cologne Trade Fair Center, o se preferite Köln Messe. La fiera è iniziata il 16 agosto con gli appuntamenti redazionali e le conferenze di Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, Electronic Arts e Microsoft. Il 17 è stata la giornata interamente dedicata ai giornalisti e blogger. Ecco il programma:
