Giaccherini, Osvaldo, Jovetic e Lamela: the italian boys (by Wayne Bills)

 

Con la Premier League ferma, questa settimana è l’occasione giusta per parlare dei quattro giocatori provenienti dalla serie A italiana, partendo da Emanuele Giaccherini che ha avuto un ottimo impatto nonostante le difficoltà del Sunderland, debuttando con il Fulham e segnando ben tre reti fino ad ora, contro Southampton, Liverpool e uno in coppa di lega, un bilancio personale molto positivo per l’ex-juventino.

Pablo Osvaldo è stato un acquisto molto costoso per il Southampton (13 milioni), il suo inizio non ha rispettato le aspettative, infatti l’ex-romanista ha segnato solo un goal nel match contro il Crystal Palace.

Ancora più costoso l’acquisto da parte del Manchester City dell’ex giocatore della Fiorentina, Stevan Jovetic, ben 22 milioni.

Tuttavia ha giocato molto poco, spesso chiuso da Negredo, Aguero e Dzeko ha fatto molta panchina ma si è tolto la soddisfazione di segnare una doppietta contro il Wigan in coppa di lega.

Erik Lamela è costato 25 milioni di sterline al Tottenham, ma l’ex-romanista ha atteso molto per il suo debutto (avvenuto contro l’Arsenal) e ancora non ha segnato.

Comunque sono state le prime settimane in Premier per loro quattro e di certo i giorni migliori devono ancora venire.

With no games in the premier league this weekend its a chance to look at 4 players who joined from Italy in the summer starting with Emanuele Giaccherini who joined Sunderland and has made a very positive start despite Sunderland’s dreadful start that sees them with just a point to there name so far , he made his debut in the opening day defeat to Fulham before netting his first goal in a draw at Southampton and has since gone on to net against Liverpool and also netted in the league cup win over Peterborough in a positive start for the former Juventus star.

Pablo Osvaldo was a big money 13 million signing for Southampton in the summer but has so far failed to set the league on fire and has found the net just once in a win over Crystal Palace and has struggled to get a regular game as Southampton have started strongly.

Stevan Jovetic cost even more as he moved to Manchester City for 22 million but has so far made little impact at the Etihad as Negredo Aguero and Dzeko have kept him out of the side most of the time but he did net twice in a league cup win over Wigan Athletic his first goals for the Manchester club.

Erik Lamela joined Tottenham for 25 million pounds from Roma but has struggled to get regular football so far despite making his debut against Arsenal and awaits his first Spurs goal but its early days for all of them and surely theres much more to come from them all.
