Un mese fa, la C59R Cafe Racer Motorcycles ha lanciato la sua ultima realizzazione, La "Grand Sport" in omaggio alle Hispano Suiza prodotte nello stabilimento di Barcellona "La Segrera" nel 1943. In un mondo di decine di Beemer customizzate, ciascuna ormai troppo simile alle altre, questa volta abbiamo una realizzazione artigianale che è in realtà più vicina alla filosofia del modello originale che non alla moda del momento. The front-end features an adapted Triumph Speed Triple front fork with 320mm brake discs bitten by 4-piston callipers, commanded by a modern radial pump and metal hoses. The dragbar is also new with new light switches. The clutch lever and the brake master cylinder are from a Speed Triple as well. The front light is a replica of a classic model from the eighties. The dash, for once, features a very complete modern instrumentation. The ignition key has been installed on the right of the stock air filter housing. The wiring is brand new, with most of the electrics placed under the tank, where the pump, tank and front brake distributor were previously situated. At the rear-end, where a new subframe has been manufactured, we have a brand new couple of Ohlins shocks.
L’avantrenoè stato dotato di una forcella Triumph Speed Triple con dischi da 320 mm morsi da pinze freno a 4 pistoncini, comandate da una moderna pompa radiale e tubi in treccia metallica. Anche il manubrio dragbar è nuovo, con nuovi blocchetti elettrici. La leva della frizione e la pompa freno sono pure di origine Speed Triple. Il nuovo faro è la replica di un classico modello anni ottanta. Il cruscotto, per una volta, offre una strumentazione molto completa e moderna. La chiave di accensione è stata installata sulla destra dell’alloggiamento del filtro dell'aria (rimosso). Il cablaggio è nuovo di zecca, con la maggior parte deil’impianto elettrico posto sotto il serbatoio, dove si trovavano in precedenza la pompa, il serbatoio dell’olio e il distributore dei freni anteriori. Al retrotreno, dove è stato costruito un nuovo telaio sottosella, c’è una bella coppia di Ohlins.
