La polizia stazionerà davanti l’edificio notte e giorno, senza venire a capo di questo pesunto omicidio. Kyle, nel frattempo, decide di rilassarsi andando a cavalcare e, stranamente, cade e perde conoscenza senza un motivo apparente. A tratti riapre gli occhi, senza riacquistare la forza per rialzarsi, e le sembra di scorgere qualcuno che fugge…Nel frattempo viene ritrovato nelle stalle il corpo senza vita di Ed, il padrone della fattoria.
