Il collettivo Rangers First acquista altre 250.000 azioni del Rangers FC. Obbiettivo il 5%

Il collettivo di tifosi del Rangers First, iniziativa di coinvolgimento attivo dei supporters nel Rangers FC, acquista altre 250.000 azioni del club scozzese portando la quota totale in possesso a 2,862,514 azioni equivalenti al 3.51% circa del capitale del Rangers International Football Club plc.
L'obbiettivo dell'associazione di tifosi, che conta ora quasi 14.000 associati, che contribuiscono mensilmente con piccole quote all'acquisto di azioni(link sito), è quello di raggiungere il 5% del capitale del club entro la fine del 2015 raggiungendo il primo step del programma che i membri hanno approvato di acquisto del 5%, 10% e 25% nel corso dei prossimi anni.
Rangers First, assieme al Rangers Supporters Trust, altra associazione di tifosi del club direttamente coinvolta nel capitale del Rangers FC(con cui si paventava tempo fà un'unione, qui dettagli), ha svolto un ruolo cruciale nello scontro con gli interessi di Mike Ashley e per la rivoluzione nel board del club di Glasgow lo scorso Marzo(qui dettagli) ed ora rappresenta l'ottavo azionista per quote in possesso.

“Further to this acquisition, our shareholding working group have also recently prepared some financial projections based on our members’ current monthly contribution levels.
“These projections indicate that Rangers First will achieve our first target of a 5% shareholding in the club before the end of 2015.
