iPhone low cost? Forse è questione di ore...

E' quasi tutto pronto al Moscone West Center di San Franciso, luogo in cui domani si terrà l'annuale conferenza di Apple, che prende il nome di WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference), evento in cui Tim Cook presenterà le novità che bollono in pentola a Cupertino. Tra queste, i rumors contano sulla presentazione del tanto atteso iPhone low cost.
In queste ore sui blog di tutto il mondo c'è fermento e si rincorrono le voci di una possibile presentazione di questo nuovo dispositivo mobile a basso costo. Una novità in casa Apple, che da sempre ci ha abituati a considerare i suoi prodotti (anche per il costo degli stessi) destinati ad un elite, "per molti ma non per tutti" giusto per citare una famosa campagna pubblicitaria di qualche tempo fa. 
Dalle indiscrezioni il costo non è ancora chiaro, ma la maggior parte oscilla tra i 300 e i 400$ per uno smartphone con caratteristiche hardware simili a quelle dell'iPhone 4. L'iPhone economico dunque occuperebbe una fascia di mercato nuova per l'azienda di Cupertino, dal momento che fin'ora non c'è ancora stato uno dispositivo del genere, con un rapporto qualità/prezzo così allettante.
A livello economico Apple s'è fatta i suoi conti, dal momento che un iPhone low cost potrebbe avere dei margini di guadagno superiori, rispetto ad un normale iPhone a prezzo di listino. Inoltre, abbassando i prezzi, di conseguenza aumenterà il numero di pezzi venduti e l'estensione del proprio mercato oltre la fascia medio-alta attuale...non male per un'azienda che in questo momento sta facendo i conti con un lieve calo dei guadagni.
