Ma così non sarà, almeno per l'anno prossimo: «Per essere allenatore - aggiunge - devi essere libero per prima cosa nella testa. Ho un problema alla caviglia da risolvere e prima di averlo risolto non posso fare una lavoro pesante come quello dell'allenatore». Sembra davvero di tornare indietro al 1995 quando i problemi alla cartilagine della caviglia destra lo costrinsero a un doloroso addio al calcio a soli 30 anni, dopo aver vinto tre Palloni d'oro, un Europeo con l'Olanda e una lunga serie di titoli con Ajax e Milan. «Non sarebbe giusto essere in campo zoppicando», spiega e, in effetti, sul campo da golf di Agrate Conturbia si sposta con la macchina elettrica e cammina il meno possibile.
