Tonight, in my usual sleepless note, I saw a movie, Men who hate women, the famous Millennium trilogy, which is, really beautiful. For now I introduce you to the saga literal Stieg Larsson, after you reviewed the movie! Millennium is a trilogy of novels of the writer and Swedish journalist Stieg Larsson. The three novels that comprise it were all published posthumously, after the untimely death of the author and have appeared for the first time in Sweden between 2005 and 2007 by the publisher Norstedts Forlag. In Italy the novels were published for the first time since 2007 at the publisher Marsilio. The novels that compose it are: 1 – Men who hate women (title in original language Hatari kvinnor som Man) 2 – The Girl Who Played with Fire (Flickan lekte som med Elden) 3 – Queen of the castles of paper (Luftslottet som sprängdes). The three novels have been translated and published in over thirty countries, and Europe have sold over 8 million copies, of which 2.7 million in Sweden alone (almost one quarter of the inhabitants of the Scandinavian country) and 1.5 million are in France, the first country to publish the trilogy with the publisher Actes Sud The events narrated in the trilogy novels deal primarily around the investigations by the editors and contributors of the journal Millennium, a monthly magazine specializing in the investigation of major social and economic scandals. ” Men who hate women, “the first novel in the series, Mikael Blomkvist has just returned from a process that saw him guilty and helpless to charges of libel. Even to save the fate of Millennium, Blomkvist decides to accept an assignment that takes him away from Stockholm to investigate a murder thirty years old but still unsolved. For his research will use the aid of Lisbeth Salander, a young expert hacker crime. The investigations conducted by the two lead to a terrible and unexpected denouement. “The girl who played with fire,” the second novel in the trilogy focuses around the character of Lisbeth Salander. After the deal Wennerström, Lisbeth takes a sabbatical around the world and a few weeks after his return to Sweden, will be suspected and searched for three murders. Three parallel investigations begin, a police secure the conviction of Lisbeth Salander, a Mikael Blomkvist, confident of the innocence of Sally and a survey conducted by Dragan Armanskij putting his men in the service of police investigators. Lisbeth Salander’s past is the key to solving the riddle of the murders. “Queen of the house of cards”, the third novel in the trilogy, the young hacker Lisbeth Salander is again immobilized in a hospital bed, even if this time are not the leather straps to hold it, but a bullet in his head. It has become a threat if someone digs into his life and listens to what he has to say, powerful intelligence agencies will collapse like houses of cards. Must disappear for ever, preferably locked in an asylum. The conspiracy which is against his will at the center, which began when he was twelve years old, continues. Meanwhile, the journalist Mikael Blomkvist is closer to the truth about the terrible past of Lisbeth and decided to publish an article about Millennium complaint that will shake the security services, government and the whole country. There will be no compromise. Most of the events recounted in the three novels are part of the trilogy takes place in Sweden, mostly in Stockholm and its surroundings, and are highly detailed descriptions of the districts in the Swedish capital, as Stureplan or Slussen, and its streets and squares main Odenplan, Mariatorget, etc.. In 2008 the city museum has begun to organize tours of the city in search of places where the characters created by act Larsson.Ma activities Blomkvist and Salander take them to travel around the world: from London to Australia, from ‘ Italy to the Caribbean. In 2006, the first novel in the trilogy, Men who hate women Glasnyckeln was awarded a prize for best Scandinavian yellow. Also in 2006, the second novel in the series, The Girl Who Played with Fire, was recognized as “best Swedish crime novel of the year” by the Swedish Deckarakademin, the Swedish police academy. And finally in 2008 the last novel in the trilogy, Luftslottet som sprängdes, was awarded the Glasnyckeln. The intent of Stieg Larsson’s trilogy was only the beginning of a series of ten novels thicker. His sudden death has, however, struck down every possible result, even if the companion Larsson, Eva Gabrielsson, found 200 pages of a potential later in the archives of Larsson. The whole story of the legacy of Larsson (and therefore also possible that this later) ended up in court and both parties (Gabrielsson the one hand, father and other brother Larsson) found.
