Terminata la mia rapida presenza a Montreal, ho preso un bus, prenotato con Orleans Express per Quebec City. Come vi dicevo, il Quebec è ciò che in Canada mi ha rubato il cuore. A partire dal bus, io ero incredulo nel trovare, a bordo un potentissimo wifi (fosse così quello di casa mia a Milano!) che mi ha permesso addirittura di parlare con Costanza su skype. Beh, arrivato a Quebec City ho sentito la vera anima del Quebec (a Montreal qualcuno ancora parla inglese ecco... :) ). Non a caso si chiama in realtà Ville de Quebec.
After my rapid presence in Montreal, I took a bus, booked with Orleans Express, to Quebec City. As I said, Quebec is in Canada what had stolen my heart. First, in the bus, I was incredulous to find on board a powerful wifi (I wish mine in my house in Milan could be so!) that allowed me even to talk to Costanza on skype. Well, arrived in Quebec City I felt the true soul of Quebec (in Montreal somebody still speaks English ... :)). It's not an accident if its name actually is Ville de Quebec.

Arrivato in stazione, andare in centro è comodissimo. Io, per risparmiare ho dormito al Campus universitario, che oltre a costare molto poco è davvero confortevole e sembra di vivere proprio in quei college da telefilm americano. Purtroppo però è abbastanza fuorimano. In centro comuqnue ci sono molti hotel e anche molto belli, ma come vi accennavo, tutto il mio viaggio è stato all'insegna del risparmio!
Arrived at the station, to go to the city center is very fast. To save, I slept at Campus, which not only is so cheap, but it is really comfortable and it seem to be in those college from American TV series. Unfortunately, it is quite out of the way. Anyway in the center there are many very beautiful hotels, but as I mentioned, I had to save money during my entire trip!

Appena arrivato alla Ville de Quebec, come prima cosa, mi sono fiondato nella grande crêperie Casse Crêpes Breton. Da fuori già mi ispirava moltissimo e ho pensato che sarebbe stato un break perfetto per il metà pomeriggio dopo il viaggio.

Just arrived at Ville de Quebec, first, I dived into the great crêperie Casse Crêpes Breton. From the outside it already inspired me very much and I thought it would be perfect for a mid-afternoon break after the trip on the bus.

La consigliatissima crêperie Casse Crêpes Breton è in Rue Saint Jean, nella parte antica della città. Il posto ha suscitato la mia curiosità anche perchè è in una zona e in una via graziosissima e la crêperie si conforma perfettamente all'atmosfera del luogo. L'ambiente è caldo e accogliente: tutto in mattoni e pietre, in pieno stile bretone. I piccoli tavolini di legno sono costeggiati da sedie o panchette proprio come è tipico nel Nord della Francia.
The recommended crêperie Casse Crêpes Breton is in Rue Saint Jean, in the old part of the city. The place has aroused my curiosity also because it is in a very pretty area and in a so nice street and the crêperie perfectly fits the atmosphere of the place. The location is warm and cozy furnishings: all is made of brick and stone, in full Breton style. The small wooden tables are lined with chairs or benches just as is typical in northern France.

Dopo essermi seduto, ho ordinato un'ottima crêpes allo sciroppo d'acero (devo pur provare le tipicità del Canada!) con una birra canadese squisita che, a mio parere smorzava un po' la dolcezza della crepes: Griffon Extra Bionda.
After I sat down, I ordered a great maple syrup crêpes (I had to try the delicatessen of Canada!) with a delicious Canadian beer, that, in my opinion was a bit muffling the sweetness of crepes: Griffon Extra Blonde.

In Canada capita spessissimo, soprattutto ai 'solitari', di mangiare al bancone, proprio di fronte ai cuochi che cucinano. A me la cosa sembra un po' triste (sarà che star da soli non è proprio allegrissimo), ma pare che stia diventando di moda a che a Milano e non ne colgo molto l'attrattiva.
In Canada, it's usual to eat at the bar, especially if you're alone, and in this case you're right in front of the chefs who cook. I think it's a little sad (maybe it's because to stay alone is not exactly cheerful), but it seems that it is becoming fashionable in Milan and I don't understand the attractive of it.

Un'ultima curiosità: in Canada è obbligatoria la mancia. Ma come si sa, ormai in America il contante è molto poco usato. Quindi, quando si usa la carta, per pagare anche la mancia, bisogna inserire la cifra che si vuole lasciare nel pin pad, prima di inserire il proprio codice.
Nulla da aggiungere, per ora. Presto scriverò anche il post relativo alla città - che è stata una delle mie tappe preferite di questo one-week-tour canadese.

One last curiosity in Canada there is the mandatory gratuity. But as you know, in America now cash is not very little used. So when you use the card to pay a tip, you must enter the amount you want to leave in the pin pad before you insert your own code.
