"PARADISO PERDUTO". Il film della settimana. - "GREAT EXPECTATIONS". The movie of the week.

Ed eccoci alla resa dei conti. Dopo aver visto ieri sera al cinema “Biancaneve e il cacciatore” sono rimasta un po’ perplessa. Un film decisamente ad altissimo budget: oltre 150 milioni di dollari e si vedevano tutti, credetemi. Costumi favolosi, location molto curate, effetti digitali al top. La favola è stata però traviata al massimo.
Sono sempre interessata alle rivisitazioni cinematografiche della narrativa tradizionale, ma questa volta sono andati veramente oltre. I sette nani, povere creature, hanno avuto un ruolo davvero poco pregnante. E il cacciatore alcoolizzato, che risveglia Biancaneve con un bacio, beh, è un concetto che non mi ha fatta impazzire. Poi Kristen Stewart nei panni della protagonista non mi ha convinta. In ogni caso vale la pena vedere il film per la impareggiabile interpretazione di Charlize Theron della regina Ravenna, nonostante il mio adorato specchio magico sia stato ridotto ad un sotto piatto natalizio gigante. Ma questa è la mia visione, per questo attendo i vostri commenti se deciderete di vedere il film.Ed ora passiamo al film della settimana.
Vorrei consigliarvi di guardare “PARADISO PERDUTO” (1998) di Alfonso Cuaròn. Tratto dal romanzo “Grandi speranze” di Charles Dickens (titolo originale Great Expectations che è anche quello del film americano).
"Tu l'ami invece, vero? Ti spezzerà soltanto il cuore, è un fatto. È tragico, sei già innamorato di lei e anche se ora io ti mettessi in guardia, se ti assicurassi che lei ti ferirà profondamente, tu continuerai a cercarla. Non è fantastico l'amore?"Questa è una delle battute che preferisco del film. Detta con amara ironia dall’attrice Anne Bancroft. E non è quello che è capitato nella vita, almeno una volta, ad ognuno di noi? Amare qualcuno al punto, che anche se tutti coloro che ci vogliono bene ci dicono che finiremo per schiantarci contro un muro ferendoci profondamente, noi abbiamo continuato imperterriti ad amare, amare e ancora ad amare.Il problema è che i sentimenti che proviamo sono quasi sempre inviolabili da chi tenta di metterci in guardia e quindi abbiamo davvero bisogno di schiantarci per capire, e solo allora avremo la forza per rialzarci ed andare avanti.
Nel film “Paradiso Perduto” il piccolo Finn Bell, di umili origini, si innamora perdutamente della sua coetanea Estella, nipote di una eccentrica e ricca donna che vive in una splendida villa diroccata, consumandosi nella pazzia per il suo amore perduto, che l’ha lasciata all’altare. La bambina impara presto dalla zia che l’amore è una cosa sbagliata dalla quale difendersi, da cui bisogna fuggire perché presto o tardi ti ferirà nel profondo dell’anima. Per questo motivo, da adulta seguirà fedelmente ciò che le è stato insegnato, capendo troppo tardi che allontanarsi dall’amore non ferisce solamente la persona da cui si viene amati, ma che è la fonte principale della propria infelicità e solitudine. Quando Estella parte per intraprendere i suoi studi all’estero, lascia dentro Finn un vuoto immenso che gli fa perdere la voglia di continuare a coltivare la sua più grande passione, la pittura. Ma Finn ed Estella sono destinati a rincontrarsi anni più tardi nella città di New York dove lui si affermerà come acclamato pittore e le loro vite entreranno in un vortice inarrestabile.L’interpretazione di Estella da adulta è affidata a una fredda e bellissima Gwyneth Paltrow e Finn bell è il tormentato e puro di cuore Ethan Hawke. La zia, Nora Dinsmoore è la meravigliosa Anne Bancroft. Del personaggio interpretato da Robert De Niro non voglio anticiparvi nulla!Il regista Alfonso Cuaròn ambienta questa storia in numerose location d’eccezione che raccontano da sole lo stato d’animo dei personaggi e la loro evoluzione interiore. Ogni inquadratura è come un quadro d’autore. Il colore predominante è il verde in ogni sua sfumatura. I disegni e i quadri dipinti da Finn sono affidati alle mani del famoso artista italiano (e mio preferito) FRANCESCO CLEMENTE, che con il suo particolarissimo stile rende questo film, a mio avviso, un vero e proprio capolavoro di fine anni 90.Se volete aggiungere “Paradiso Perduto” alla vostra videoteca potete acquistarlo su Amazon al prezzo speciale di € 4,99 nella versione DVD.Vi saluto facendovi gustare alcuni quadri che Francesco Clemente ha dipinto per il film e vi ricordo che quest’anno l’artista ha disegnato la nuova edizione 2012 illy art collection di tazze grandi e piccole. A promise is a promise. After seeing yesterday evening at the cinema "Snow White and the huntsman" i am a little perplexed. A film definitely to a very high budget: more than 150 million dollars and you saw all, believe me. Fabulous costumes, location very cured, digital effects at the top.
The fable was, however, mistaken to the maximum. I've always been interested in movie remakes of the traditional narrative, but this time it has exceeded the limit. The seven dwarfs, poor creatures, have had a role very little meaningful. And the hunter alcoholic, that awakens Snow White with a kiss, well, it is a very strange concept. Then Kristen Stewart in the shoes of the protagonist did not convince me. In any case it is worth seeing the film for the unparalleled interpretation of Charlize Theron queen Ravenna, despite my adored magic mirror has been reduced to a Christmas tablecloths giant. In the movie "Great expectations" the children Finn Bell, of humble origins, he falls in love with the little girl Estella, nephew of a eccentric and rich woman who lives in a beautiful villa dilapidated, will scuff in madness to his lost love, which has left her at the altar. The little girl soon learns from her aunt that, love is a wrong thing from which defend, from which we must escape because sooner or later become pain. For this reason when Estella will become adult will understand too late that escape from the love hurts the person who loves her, but that was the main source of her own unhappiness and loneliness.
When Estella part to undertake his studies abroad, it leaves inside Finn a vacuum immense that makes him lose the desire to continue to cultivate its greatest passion, painting.
But Finn and Estella are intended to meet many years later in New York city where he asserts itself as acclaimed painter and their lives will come into a vortex unstoppable. The interpretation of Estella from adulthood is entrusted to a cold and beautiful Gwyneth Paltrow and Finn bell and the tormented and a pure heart Ethan Hawke. The aunt, Dinsmoore Nora and the wonderful Anne Bancroft. With regard to the character played by Robert De Niro i don't want to tell you nothing!
The director Alfonso Cuarón situates this history in numerous location d'exception that tell alone the state of mind of the characters and their inner evolution. Every shot and as a framework for the author. The predominant color is green in every nuance. The drawings and paintings by Finn are entrusted to the hands of the famous italian artist (and my favorite) FRANCESCO CLEMENTE, who with his unique style makes this movie, in my opinion, a true masterpiece of late ‘90.
