English version:
T-Magi in Copenhagen is a new Tea Shop for the French Mariage Frères products. It’s a project by WE Architecture, an innovating architecture office based in the Danish capital.
Its showroom is conceived as a big window displaying all the Marriage Frères products.
The walls and the inner bar have different sized little holes setting up a transparence impression, not given by the intrinsic features of the material used, but by the experimental process it undergone. Those holes suggest the tridimensional image of a teapot.
The outer darkness, combined with the inner lights of the shop, give a glimpse of the teapot’s shape, highlighting the showroom even when it’s closed.
Against the milk-white walls, small glass bottles contain the wide variety of tea customers can smell in order to make the final choice.
All kinds of tea, the green one, the red one, the white one or the black one, are chosen through two senses: sight and hearing.
A plain and elegant design and a “sensory” way of choosing among the items take the consumer into a perceptive journey among the exclusive Mariage Frères products.
