Step#2: Suovetaurilia
Dopo il grande successo riscosso dallo Step#1 dell’iniziativa Spray for Your Rights, che ha visto protagonista lo street artist brasiliano Eduardo Kobra, il quale ha donato alla città di Roma lo splendido murales dedicato a Malala Yousafzai, con l’obiettivo di trattare il tema dei diritti delle donne nel mondo, siamo lieti di presentare lo Step#2 che si svolgerà in autunno e vedrà l’artista belga Roa, tra i più rinomati del panorama dell’Urban Art internazionale, cimentarsi nella realizzazione di un’opera dedicata al tema “La Diversità” che accompagnerà la sua mostra personale presso la la Dorothy Circus Gallery composta da una serie di opere inedite ed installazioni site specific. La diversità tra gli esseri umani è una componente dell’uguaglianza perché è essa stessa un diritto. Si può essere diversi per aspetto fisico, carattere, talento, ma anche per strato sociale, per condizioni economiche e per opportunità. Il secondo step dello Spray for your Rights vuole appunto dare voce tanto a quel diritto alla diversità quanto ai diritti del diverso, che siano essi fattori personali quanto di nascita. La mostra presso la Dorothy Circus Gallery, è volta sostenere con parte del ricavato delle vendita delle opere il progetto “Cavalcando l’Autismo”, organizzato dall’associazione “L’emozione non ha Voce”, in cui undici ragazzi autistici attraverseranno l’Umbria e il Chianti a cavallo dal 31 Agosto al 6 Settembre 2015. L’intervento artistico che ROA produrrà sulla facciata esterna di un edificio romano sarà dedicato all’orsa Daniza e alla sua triste storia. Parte del ricavato della vendita delle opere di ROA in mostra alla Dorothy Circus Gallery sarà devoluto a sostegno di associazioni animaliste.

Ancora una volta il diritto alla vita è stato violato senza alcun motivo.
Ancora una volta la “diversità” è una vittima predestinata della violenza e della tirannia.
Ogni giorno siamo responsabili di terribili errori. Li riconosciamo ma non siamo abbastanza forti da non ripeterli di nuovo. Così continuiamo a soffrire per questo.
Non ci sarà alcun progresso, non ci sarà nessuna speranza per il futuro se ci abituiamo al dolore e alla tristezza. Non ci resta che sperare che le nostre lacrime si innalzino a vessillo dell’umanità che si batte per il diritto alla vita di ciascuna creatura sulla terra.
Dedichiamo questa opera d’arte a Daniza, affinché la sua sofferenza non sia dimenticata.

Step#2: Suovetaurilia
Following the big success of the event Spray for Your Rights Step#1, in which the Brazilian street artist Eduardo Kobra homaged to the city of Rome the wonderful mural dedicated to Malala Yousafzai, with the goal to debate about women rights in the world, we are glad to present the Step#2 scheduled for autumn 2014, and in which the Belgian artist Roa, one of the most impressive talent of the international Urban Art, will produce a work of art dedicated to the diversity issue that will match his solo show at Dorothy Circus Gallery, featuring a series of brand new artworks and a site specific installation. The diversity between people is a part of the equality, because it is a right by itself. You can be different by physical appearance, personality, talent, but for social class, economic condition and opportunity too. Spray For Your Rights Step#2 wants to give voice the diversity right as well the right to be different, meaning the personal factors as well the born factors. The show at Dorothy Circus Gallery, will support with part of the proceeds the project “Cavalcando l’Autismo”, arranged by the association “L’Emozione non ha voce”, in which eleven boys and girls, affected by autism spectrum disorders will horse trekking Umbria and the Chianti area from August 31st to September 6th 2015. The mural artwork that ROA will paint on a Roman building façade will be dedicated to the bear Daniza, and her sad story. Part of the proceeds from ROA exhibition sales will be devolved to animal-rights associations.

Once again the right to life has been violated without any reason. Once again the “otherness” is a predestinated victim of violence and tyranny. Each and everyday we make terrible mistakes.
We recognize it but we are not strong enough not to repeat the same mistakes over and over.
So we keep on suffering for it. There is no progress, there is no hope for the future if we get used to pain and sorrow. Let’s hope our tears will rise as the flag of a mankind that will truly fight for the right to life for every creature on this earth.
We devote this art opus to Daniza, so that her pain will not be forgotten.
